Rude, unprofessional,liars

Rude self righteous idiots called me to say I owe CIty Bank money. Give me an account number or proof of this and I would gladly pay. The task was to much for them to undertake, because They could not give me that information. Couldn't give me a legitimate email address, name or phone number. How can a real person live with themselves knowing how they lie to people? I mean really, you don't need schooling to become a liar with these people it just comes natural I guess. With all the scams there are out there one would think they could find a better approach.

I use to get calls from IC Systems, which is a bottom feeder debt collector, and they would scream profanity in the phone, demanding that I pay $1,600, yet they could not even tell me the NAME of the company they were collecting for! These debt collection agencies are just unreal.

Rec. letter and phone call

I received a letter from EBay inc. It did not match up or look like anything I had seen before. The letter was asking for $169.78. I also received a phone call with some guy saying he was with EBAY inc. I missed the first call but within two hour they called back. I picked up the phone call and the guy says my name and says "how do you want to pay this $169.78. I said "what are you talking about. I have not sold on EBAY for a long time. I had a great account with EBAY and never owed them money. I always took care of my customers". The guy says "again how do you want to pay this $169.78". "I said I don't owe any money and can I talk to your manager". This guy says" look you dum %#โ‚ฌยฃ (you get the idea what he said) and he says " you will pay and if you don't you will go to jail if your lucky. The guy says you understand we're I'm coming from. I said "did you just threaten me me with physical harm?" the guy says "what are you going to do about it. If I did!" I said "so you did threaten me with physical harm!" he said "you take it any way you want! I'm getting the money one way or another!" I said " well let me take care of this right now! Since you have my address and phone number! Why don't you come and collect the money in person. You can talk with my body guard! His name is Smith & Wesson and he will deal with your dum (%#ยฃโ‚ฌยฅ). The guy started yelling at me and I said I'm calling the police and the state atty generals office. Bottom line this is a scam and don't deal with them. I have spoke with the government agencies and all said it is a scam. They say a lot of people don't know better and pay the bill either by mail or over the phone. A lot of times they give a big discount to the person who says they don't have enough money and they don't want to lose their EBAY account. They just don't know they are getting scammed. Do not pay them anything and do not give them your routing number and checking account number. They will clean you out of all your cash. Do not give them any credit card numbers. They will sell the numbers to other thieves. Don't waste your time or your hard earned cash! Report them proper authorities. Just to let you know know one came to my house and they stopped calling me, and to let you know I'm not your average Joe. DON'T GET SCAMMED!!!!!!!

SUNS GROUP

Updated by user Jun 09, 2013

Company is SUNS GROUP not ER Solutions

Original review Jun 09, 2013
Has anyone conducted business with a Ottawa company called Suns Group. They claim they offer 60% return on your monies. I'm curious if anyone is or has been a client of theirs and have they make that kind of money monthly. Have you received your monthly interest checks correctly and on time and have you loss any monies on your investment with Suns Group or possibly you could not get them to return your monies at all. I have tried to call their office in Ottawa and it just goes to a recording. Is this a legal firm or a scam???? Help

"They claim they offer 60% return on your monies."

It's too good to be true because ....

"I have tried to call their office in Ottawa and it just goes to a recording."

You need more signs to run to the hills?

Invest your money in index funds and mutual funds. You will be alright.

Maddyx Vxz

Jay,

So you did business with SUNS Group?

Did they pay like they said they would each month on time?

Were you able to get back you oringinal deposited investment?

There is a charge showing up on my credit report history from almost 4 years ago now and I do not know what the charges are for but, it's under the name of Convergent Outsourcing/Sprint they are asking for $478.00 that I do not believe I owe and I am unable to reach a live person to talk to about this. The worst part is that this *** inconvenience is stopping me from being able to make any major purchases in my life because it's hurting my credit and it's not fair. Is there a person to talk to about getting this removed from my credit report? Thank you, Jay

RE: ER Solutions

I have had my share of phone calls from ER Solutions. I get a call at least once a day, and sometimes, twice a day. That's been going on for about 2 months. I don't take their calls. And just in case anyone is interested, I posted this info on another forum about Convergent Outsourcing. "If anyone is interested, I have Convergent Outsourcing's address and phone number (which seems to also be doing business as ER Solutions, as they have the exact same phone number). The below address and phone number was taken directly off my credit report from Experian. If you want to get ahold of Convergent Outsourcing, their address and phone number is: Convergent Solutions 800 SW 39th St. Renton, WA 98057 (800) 444-**** Good luck if you decide to call them or write to them!"

Thank you for the info. Got a call today from the number, it was prerecoded, and it hung up on me.

Called it back and got a live person who pretty much said she was calling about a delinquent account from sprint, then asked me to verify my identity and address (complete opposite of regular procedures.) I said the Sprint account that was written off during the bankruptcy after my accident in 2003, and she got really rude to me then.... After giving her a minute to run out of breath, I told her the debt would be too old right now if it wasn't written off with other debts in the bankruptcy from my 3 month hospital stay and 2 month recovery period while on workers comp back then. She then hung up on me. Now I know where to direct the certified letter to, and who to direct my complaint to my states AG to for trying to collect on a bankruptcy write off well after the fact.

I'm keeping an eye out for any marks on my credit report just in case. I'm finally almost out from under the bankruptcy cloud and I don't want it screwed up.

Well, I discovered that ER Solutions was legitimately representing U.S. Cellular to collect a past due final balance from me that I did owe.

Once I paid them, I never heard from them again.

But they really are obnoxious! :(

Convergent Outsourcing collection scam

I got a message on my cell phone today from Convergent Outsourcing saying that they are calling to collect on a debt I owe. I called them back and they know my name but refused to answer any other questions about who they were until I provided my address, which I declined to do. I just got me credit scores from the 3 main agencies today, and I have a credit score of over 800, so obviously I don't have any uncollected debt outstanding, and this is a scam. Please do yourself a favor and don't give them any personal information. If there was a legitimate debt, they would have your address! Suzanne in CT

this convergent company calls me everyday early in the morning and never leaves a message cause I don't answer there calls they are very annoying.

Guest

They keep calling my cell phone and not leaving a voice mail. I have now blocked them.

Guest

I keep getting emails from them from an email I use only for work. I only receive emails at that account from that company and nothing else.

I thought it was real at first because they often send me papers to sign electronically.

It wants me to verify my identity by entering the last four # of my SS # on a "secure form". I get them every few months.

Guest

I also just received a call from this company. I have received several calls from this company in the past few days.

The person who took my call asked for my phone number. I refused to give it until she gave me information about who was calling me. She told me, "I already said the name of the company." She did not want to repeat it, but finally did. She said that the call was in reference to a personal business matter, but that she could not give me any information unless I provided my number.

I would not give her my number and asked to speak to a manager.

My call was dropped. The woman on the phone was nasty and pushy.

Guest

I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing claiming I owe a large debt to a creditor called Galaxy International Purchasing LLC and that the creditor will settle with me for 35% of the debt. First of all, the bill is in my married name and I have been divorced for 8 years.

Second, I never heard of the creditor or the original creditor's name. I have no idea who they are. The amount of the debt listed is an amount I never would have spent with any company, especially back then when my credit wasn't as good as it is now.

This is the second time a bogus collection agency has contacted me about a bogus debt in the past 6 months and I'm tired of it. This is a scam!

Guest

Contact your state's Attorney General's office and file a consumers complaint. That always stoops them dead in their tracks.

Guest

I got a letter from them offering to settle a debt that I was unaware of so I demanded a copy of the original bill and name of creditor. Today, nine days after the original letter from them was dated, I received a letter from them saying they cannot send me the original bill because they are no longer handling the referred account.

Nine days!

They are definitely scammers. BEWARE!!!

Guest

I keep getting calls from them they do not leave any messages and they call me all the time... here is the number I called and got this Convergent Outsourcing 661-370-****

Guest

I've been getting calls from a local Phoenix number every day for months. I'm never home when they call and they don' leave messages--it just shows up on the caller ID.

Finally last week I was home when they called, I answered, ready to fight with them, but got a recording telling me to push 1 if I was who they were calling, 2 if they should call back, etc. The last option was to have my number removed from their database so I did that. It didn't work because they called back today--same recording.

But this time I had a pen handy and wrote down the name of the company to look up. I knew it was a scam because my credit is good but looking up the phone number got me nothing--luckily the name of the company got me here.

Guest

Similar situation - we've started getting calls from this outfit, but luckily I'd just pulled our credit reports and we've had no outstanding debt in more than 10 years. Another collection agency has been calling our number asking for someone under a name I've never heard, and I guess they probably sold this incorrect info to these folks.

False Balance

I moved and left a small overdue amount when I closed my account with Time Warner Cable. In a letter I received today, Convergent claims that I owe three times the original amount and they were willing to settle for half of that. Please! So I called TWC to pay the original balance. Convergent lied about the amount I owed. Imagine if I'd gone ahead and paid it. Always go to the original provider before you give these vampires anything. The scam was obvious in my case, but maybe it isn't always apparent. Someone at Convergent might have made a decent commission if I'd fallen for this. Tough luck.

Also make sure you keep all your payment evidence for life. Write a CMRRR letter to these miscreants and state the balance was paid off on xxx date directly to TWC and so their claim is refused and enclose the original letter-just keep a copy. This may be re-sold in the future as a debt you never paid and some collector will start to hound you and mess your credit report.

CONSUMERS FIGHT BACK @***.com

P/S

Debt collectors push you around if they sniff you don't know their game or more aptly your legal rights. So before you engage them to make any arrangement Google these and become an informed consumer, it will save you potential trouble in the future.

1-what to do when you are contacted by a collections agency.

2-your rights under federal laws FDCPA and FCRA

3-Validation of debt (VOD), cease and desist (C&D), CMRRR

4-Your state's Statute of Limitations (SOL) on debt.

5-post your questions at debtorboards dot com if things get thick

6-Settlement Offer Letter - very important don't pay anything without it.

-If your state's SOL is expired the debt is noncollectable, period! That's why you

-Never ever accept/agree/acknowledge you owe/own a debt. Per Federal law first demand a VOD. Use CMRRR (you can call but not recommended. Be sure to record the call)

-VOD must be the original document with your signature on it, not a letterhead stating some amounts owed.

-NEVER EVER confirm your your personal info. Tell them to mail whatever to the address on file.

-if you legitimately owe a debt don't pay anything without a settlement offer letter.

-mail cahsiers checks or money orders only (no personal check) with tracking No. or signature required, no electronic access to your bank ac. you will be cleaned out. Keep records for life.

TOO MANY CALLS, CALLS TO FRIENDS, WORK ETC

-Send a C&D by CMRRR stating ALL CALLS ARE INCONVENIENT, TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU BY MAIL ONLY. If the call they just violated FDCPA and you are due about $1000. Make it expensive for them - add a consumer attorney. That's an extra $3000 they have to pay up. Get a Dave Ramsey endorsed attorney at collectionbully.com or seach at NACA.org

-If you talk to a CA ALWAYS record, write down immediately, who called, where from, said what, why, when, what, i.e. everything. This is acceptable evidence in court.

-If CA violates FDCPA/your rights you are due $1000. Thus, use CMRRR and/or record all calls ->evidence is $$$ for you. You can sue pro se, see #5 above

Recorded Message with British Accent

I received a call today from a Phoenix number 602-734-****. I dialed * 67 and dialed them back to find that their AUDIX VOICEMAIL says, "ER SOLUTIONS". A automated, computerized voice called my cell phone today , with a british accent, asking for someone other than myself (with same last name). I pressed the prompt that allowed me to "take me off your list"....I am sure that wont work, based on the previous comments left on this website. Anyhow, if a company cannot prove you owe something, dont even respond to their requests for info. They are phishing and scamming. Alot of these companies get names and numbers from pay-day loan businesses that went out of business and sold the names/numbers as leads, along with social security number and references...

Just call them back and Say You your Lawyer and Tell the assfaces to remove you from their list or Legal actions will be taken .

it is that simple

Guest

that 602-734-**** is trying to get your information and then steal everything you have *** people

Guest

I would rather you teach them an expensive lesson. They violated FDCPA by calling you after you told her not to. If you can prove that in a small claims court the miscreant will pay you $1000. You want to make it an expensive lesson engage an attorney that's another $3000+/- they have to pay.

Basically your name might match that of someone they are looking for so they call everyone in the country with those names. They count on you not knowing your rights per federal laws.

That's a violation of FDCPA and your rights and you are due about $1000 from them if you can prove that. Be ready for the next call they will almost always violate and you need to capture the evidence as it could be a $$$ windfall for you. Have ready a recorder, camera, pen & paper. When they call again be calm and record the call, photo your call ID then detail who called, when, what said, everything! That's what judges want to see.

Then tell them verbally to cease and desist calling you per federal law TCPA, etc. If they violate that you are due about $1000 if you prove it.

Consumer attorneys will take a case on a contingency basis especially if you have collected slam dunk evidence. It's an $3k that's dropping on their desk that's covered by the misbehaving collector/defendant. For a Dave Ramsey endorsed attorney go to collectionbully.com (or just search at NACA.org).

You can also sue pro se it's a simple process and you can get all the help at debtorboards.com

866-377-**** Fraud

I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing Inc, a collection company, for a debt owed to JP Morgan Chase in the amount of $133.87. Because I have never banked with chase I thought it could either be fraudulent or an old debt purchased by chase. I called chase gave them the company phone number and the provided acct number on the form neither of which could be found in their files. They even searched by my social and address and still found no such debt! Armed with this info I attempted to call the 866 number they provided to see if it could trap them but found the number disconnected. :-/ If you get something from these people or a call do NOT give them any of your personal information AC Dallas TX

I frequently receive calls from this and other debt collectors asking for someone else who had my phone number a decade ago. Why are these companies too cheap to buy new phone books?

Guest

That's good to know! Thanks for the info.

They call me on a daily basis from what appears to be a local #.

I assume to trick someone into picking up what looks like is a local call. How do they do that?!

Guest

I called CHASE first to verify that Convergent Outsourcing Inc is the collection agency I'm suppose to pay. They confirmed the name and the number (866) 377-****.

I called Convergent and they're professional and they took my $3 that I owed them because when I close my checking account with them, they closed it and then assessed a $3 monthly maintenance fee.

Ugh so mad, now I'm in the Chex System for 5 years. Oh well, I already opened my Bank of America che :) cheking anyways so I'm good :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Contrary to ex-collectors advice. I do not recormend that you give any information to someone that you do not know, whether they call or send a letter.

I have often had to read about people that got scammed and then they said, well I received a letter.

If someone contacts you regarding a debt or want to collect money. I would suggest you do the following before releasing any information.

1) Check with the state representatives in the state that the contractor states they have a corporate office.

2) Look for the company's information on the net with legitimate websites, state attorney general, state corporate commission, Better Business Office etc.

3) Complete searches on the Company Name, then the address, then the telephone number (3 individual searches) and review information for red flags.

This is a very short summary of suggestions, and remember the old motto "When in Doubt, Don't release ANY information" especially "to Verify".

AND ALWAYS LOG THE DATE, TIME, PHONE NUMBER AND NAME OF THE PERSON, AS WELL AS THE CONTENT OF THE CONVERSATION.

Guest

just got virtually the same call. "Jessica" from Convergent Outsourcing in Tempe, AZ called, as for me by name and said she was calling on behalf of JP Morgan Chase.

She asked for my SSN and address, and I replied that given that she had called me, and that I don't do ANY business with JPM/Chase I was not comfortable with giving that information over the phone. She hung up. Tried calling back 11 times. She hung up each time.

Went to local Chase branch, spoke to manager, who put me through to their fraud department. HE tried to call Convergent; same deal. "jessica" hung up seven times. Called convergent this evening, got "Jessica" back on line; from background noise this is clearly a boiler room.

Would not give her my personal information, and she reiterated that she was "calling on behalf of JP Morgan/Chase" and "why didn't I try to call from the bank." Told her I had, and that she hung up, repeatedly. Would not tell me anything beyond that she worked for JP Morgan Chase.

Ex-collector, you and your ilk can take your NAPPES and put them where the sun does not shine. You're all scammers and liars, as far as I am concerned.

Guest

Same thing happened to me but with what they claimed an "OLD" Ebay account. They are setup out of someone's house.

They knew it was me calling from the caller id but kept asking for my name. They already knew it and got pissy with me when i asked why they needed birthday/address. Anywho, i never owed Ebay and i sent them a formal letter in the mail asking for proof.

Never heard back and this was in May/June. They are *** artists with bad tempers.

Guest

oh and one more thing most if not all accounts once they hit 3rd party collections will not befound in the orginal company computer database as they are pulled from there and given to collection agencies

so just because someone calls up the orginal company you incurred the debt with and they cant find it does not in anyway mean you no longer owe it.

Guest

i used to work for ers. do you know why they ask about information or as they put it NAPESS

UNDER the law they are not leagally allowed to talk to anyone without verifying account information

napess btw stands for :

Name

Address

Personal Number

Eployment Number

and

Social Security number

this information is used 2 fold :

1. to update the account information to make sure all the information that was given to them is correct

and

2. to verify you are indeed the debtor

after reading several posts here on this blog/rant posting site i decided to give some more info for ya tho it may fall on deaf ears.

ERS is a collection agency they bid and purchase accounts to collect like the other agencies some of the companies that they get the accounts from may not always have correct information which leads to bad or mistaken calls

they can only go off of the information given to them. deny them this and your going to find yourself in more trouble then its troely worth

their computer system.... old ancient tech that was outdated 20 years ago

it works exactly like caller id you call in and a number matches in the database it pops up on their mono color dummy terminals when it pops up first field they have to enter is NAPESS after they take the napes they are typing down everything that happens in the note field

their chain of command when you talk to someone :

floor of collectors

next step for them with a hostile debtor is to t/o THE CALL or toss over the call to a differnt collector at this point just ask for supervisor and if still not getting anywhere ask for the acm or AREA COLLECTION MANAGER after him is the cm or collection manager

best advice i can give you is just to pay your debt if you truely owe it.

This inconsiderate company startled me out of bed

Didn't know who they were til I just googled them. How about a phone call at 4:45 am???? what kind of reputable company would do that and then just stop the call? I looked up reverse phone # 206-734-**** called and it was an answering machine that said you have reach "Nicole" at ER Solutions. Don't even know what it was about.. My credit rating is well over 800 and figure it is probably a medical bill that was never even billed to me and I don't even know about... I don't need anymore stress in my life. It has been reported on my credit history and I am pissed. I will write this company to dispute this information. If there is anyone else out there please write to the company or report it to the sheriff in your county. It has ruined my chance of getting a house. I shall report to the sheriff also.

So my dumb *** called them back and when the picked up the phone the first thing the woman asked was "are you ##### # ?" I said "no" her immediate response was "this is a matter between us and the person who I have asked for." And hung up. I am too upset at the fact that Officials know about how much this company's get over on people but yet are willing to do anything. I also need to say that if a debt is longer than 7b years they can still ATTEMPT to collect, however NEVER, EVER own up to it. Because it cycles all over again. NEVER give them any information and it you block their calls and continue to HARRASS YOU. You can take them to court and the debt that they are claiming you owe will be tossed out the door. Actually if its beenover 7 yrs and you haven't paid a debt off the company or whoever you had the debt from can easily put it back on your credit report30 days after it fall off your credit report so colection agencys can contuine collecting after that! Pay your bills so it doesn't haunt you forever!

Sheila A Kww

This is great info. I just had a huge go around with a collection agency, that was given a false claim against me and, they wouldn't listen to me anymore than the company that did it.

They immediately turned it into the credit bureaus.

I found an Attorney on AVVO website that took care of both of them at their expense. If you ever need them check out the website it's free to signup and, ask questions.

Take care

Latest victim of Convergent Outsourcing

Thanks to Convergent, I was recently denied a Parent Plus Student Loan for my son to continue going to college (no issue in the past). After hours on the phone, I learned that I was denied because of a collection account on my credit report. I got a copy of my credit report and saw one collection account from Sprint for $224 with Convergent Outsourcing opened in April 2012. In order to get approved for the loan (which is still under appeal) I paid the $224. I am now disputing the claim with Equifax and Experian. It may be a coincidence, but I had an account with Sprint four years ago. It was closed with a zero balance. I never received a letter from Sprint or Convergent or a phone call. Convergent just lowered my credit score by 100 points and threatened the ability for my son to continue his studies. After paying the fraudulent amount, they gave me a really hard time getting a letter faxed to me saying the balance was zero. They promised I'd get it in 72 hours but made me wait 7 days. I explained WHY I needed the letter and that fell on deaf and ignorant ears. (really the woman could barely put a proper sentence together) Finally, I kept calling them relentlessly until they finally faxed me the letter. It was ridiculous, the last 2 times I called (after each time being on hold for over 30 minutes and getting hung up on) the operator knew my name without me having to say it. It was like a game to them. I had to threaten to fly to Washington State to get the letter personally, miraculously my fax machine started receiving a fax. These people are ***. Thanks for letting me vent. I know they'll continue their scamming ways, but at least I don't feel alone.

They call my house after a death in our immediate family for someone who never lived here at our home. I have so many calls concerning the passing of my children's father. I told them to stop calling and some woman told me PLEASE real snotty. This company is ***!!! How can they keep bothering you about someone's debt you don't even know. The way these companies get numbers is so incorrect but they don't care if they invade your privacy, your home, your life. There should be recourse for these actions. Who do they think they are???

I just commented on another complaint about this company. Try looking at the website AVVO.

It's free and, you can ask an Attorney how to deal with them.

They are awsome. They helped me with a similar situation perfectly.

Take care
