Verified ReviewerResolved: Company NOT up to their interest rate promising!
- - 3.5% requires 2000+ monthly direct deposits; otherwise 1.25%.
- - The reviewer alleges deposits are date-manipulated to the next month.
In order to receive 3.5% interest on your saving account, EQ bank require that you direct deposit over 2000.00$ a month, if not, they will roll you back to 1.25% interest rate.
So, what they do to roll you back from 3.50% back to 1.25 in order to save on higher interest rate?! They manipulate dates of direct deposit if you have more than one direct deposit.
That is what is happening to me 3 times in 6 months even tho direct deposits are deposited a couple of days before end of the month, EQ bank will withhold, move one of the deposits in the first day of the next month, you will lose your 2000.00$ a month deposit requirement, lose your 3.5% interest rate, and they will blame it on system. How many others, unsuspected customers never complains about one month of list interest rate???

Verified Reviewer |Chargeback Funds being withheld
- - Used EQ for merchant chargeback on a never-delivered order.
- - Merchant released funds; refunds delayed.
- - Refund due Nov 12; 90 days stated; awaiting $850.
Funds still have not been returned. Have confirmed with Merchant already that funds were returned to EQ bank and received the transaction number and confirmation. EQ continue to say they have not received funds and that I should expect to wait 90 days even though the funds were received by them on Nov 6

Merchant since released fund back to EQ bank after many hours of emails and telephone calls. Upon contacting EQ was advised I would see the refund next day Nov 12th.
That day came and went so I called back and they could provide no updates on the case nor could they explain why I have not yet been reimbursed considering the merchant returned the funds to them over 10 business days prior.
Was told it would now take 90 days which is completely unacceptable considering the merchant released the funds.
Requested escalation to management but have had zero response from them.
Currently have proof of refund issued from merchant.
Awaiting return of my $850 from EQ and then will cease all further business with them. Very poor customer care or customer service.
Cannot even speak to the security team directly.

Verified ReviewerGreat interest rates, only because the company takes it all plus.
- - The reviewer says Eq misled them about reporting a stolen card and refunds for unauthorized transactions, with no account access or help.
Eq has continually mislead me with the amount of false information they provided at the time I reported my card stolen. J was mislead by customer service, also after reading the agreement that I signed I was lead to believe that by my reporting the stolen card immediately then my money was safe and unauthorized transactions would be replaced.
They also explained that I have the access to my account and they don't when in fact I had no access and customer service would not do anything to help.
Every ad and new customer thinks that it is a reputable company that will go out of their way to make sure you never have any issues, when in reality they will cause you to have issues even if they are made aware that the result of their actions will lead you to lose everything. Thanks to eq I lost my job and my house and they have done nothing but make things worse with every action they have taken.
User's recommendation: Using eq results in more loss than any gains that are advertised
