Ver poor quality
We hired Epoxy Floor Hero to install a flaked epoxy floor for an art room in our basement. The space is small and we had to pay a premium to have the floor installed because the owner, Chris Stinnett, said they have a $2k minimum.
He also told me he acquired the competing epoxy floor companies in the area. Unfortunately, the workmanship was very poor and Chris ghosted us when we asked him to come back and make it right. Since Chris rolled the epoxy instead of floating it, our floor looked like it had permanent puddles where the floor was uneven. He didnt tape off or remove the baseboards, so we now have epoxy and flakes stuck all over them.
The threshold between the epoxy floor and the unfinished basement was a mess and we had to scrape off epoxy and flakes that he tracked on the floor in that room too. The corners have a build-up of flakes and look terrible. To make matters worse, Chris left all the plastic taped to the walls for me to clean up. It took 45 minutes to take down the plastic sheeting and vacuum up the flakes that fell from the sheeting.
He also left his trash for me to dispose of, including his epoxy cans. I hope this review saves someone else the frustration we experienced.
If youre somewhat handy, you can install your own epoxy floor. There are many videos online showing how to do it.
