I have run into this problem a number of times at this location, but in the past the manager apologized when I complained about cashiers who refused to serve me in English, but today was very different and the last straw for me. I am done taking this kind of garbage.
Cashier refused to speak English despite several attempts to get her to do so. I complained to the manager (don't know his name, but he was on duty at the front of the store at 8 pm Thursday evening July 17, 2025).
He was extremely rude and insulting, telling me cashiers weren't required to speak English and then gave me a snotty lecture that "we speak french in Quebec". He then started interrogating me as to why I don't speak french which is clearly none of his business. He was very hostile and unprofessional: trying to bully me. Obviously prejudiced against people who don't speak french...a disgusting piece of low life who is not fit to deal with paying customers and who should be fired immediately. *** like this are a detriment to Maxi's reputation.
If my complaint isn't addressed by management within three days, I will escalate this matter with head office.

They treated me like a liar. They told me they would call me back in 24-48 hours and never did. Never had such bad service in the store and at the head office.

They didnt provide my stamps and they told me to go to another maxi.
I was upset because I wasnt able to go to all the maxi stores.
