Misleading phone number and scam

AI Highlights
  • - Energy Star site had no contact number; I found 1-88*-***-****.
  • - The call went to a promo for medical devices.
  • - The rep spoke over me, so I hung up.

Energystar.gov doesn't list a number on its website so I googled it and found 1-88*-***-****. The message took me to a "promo" for medical devices.

When I tried to speak to the person on the phone, she spoke right over me and wouldn't let me ask to whom I was speaking, so I hung up. The Energy Star rebate program is complicated to understand so it would be helpful to have a proper, legit customer service line.

Why filter a gas leak with the energy star? All I wanted was NO GAS

AI Highlights
  • - Energy star is decorative; apartments thought it meant no repairs and gas repairs to my stove went wrong, though adding gas is no cost; I hate gas.

Personally, I thought an energy star was something of a decorative sticker. At home, my apartments thought something different. The apartment's thought it meant people wouldn't have to ever come back to repair it. When faced with the choice of management, I couldn't ask for anything, because that's what we thought.

Well, my gas detector detects gas... So no repair is what I am facing. The repair is, add gas - it's no cost. This is why I put this review. I have gas cooktop. I hate gas cooktop. The repair for gas cooktop, had gone wrong. I made the mistake of asking for repair when all I wanted was anything but gas.

AI Highlights
  • - Washing machine charges $8 per use instead of the advertised $3.25.

ENERGY STAR - Washing machine stealing our money

Washing machine charging more that what it's supposed to it's only suppose to charge 3.25 but it charge but every time I use it I get charged 8$ which is nonsense if you have a set price don't keep raising it especially when you just put them in a brand new apartments it's supposed to be 3.25 not 8.00$

User's recommendation: Do not use any of their crap
