I am sending this email regarding the way Mrs. Mary Shilton's behaviour and attitudes are toward the clients.
She is supposed to get me a pin code so as to transfer my funds from Empower to my bank in London, UK. For this, she has been telling me to send her money via Apple Gift Card to obtain certain papers and money for her transportation. But on sending the funds this time via Apple Gift Card, the wrong amount was being displayed. I contacted Apple Gift Card, and they informed me to ask the receiver to contact them with the case ID.
But this woman is so adamant to keep doing the same thing that is not working, rather than get off her high horse and contact Apple Gift Card, who are holding the money.
Instead, she is very rude and abusive.
I want to know if it is your company policy to hire people like her?

So Ive used empower for a while and liked it but I recently tried using thrive line of credit and the experience sucks. This app is absolutely horrible and glitchy it doesnt seem to save anything or ever work properly.
So I tried making my payment last night I get paid very late so the payment should come out Thursday but now my payment is late even though I had sufficient funds in my account and I still do. Had I not tried paying early the payment would come out today but I get penalized still??? Bad business practice. Dont waste your time with this extra crap unless you are desperate.
Their customer support gives the run around and is taking to me like Im a moron, giving their scripted reply on the fact that Payments need to be made on time when I asked how it would affect my credit score. They dont even try to resolve the issue.

SupporterThe absolute worst - avoid at all costs!
- - Unsolicited text offered a $200 cash advance I did not request.
- - A $100 advance caused a 48-hour bank-update delay that never resolved and a $8 fee.
I received a text advising me that I was eligible to obtain a cash advance for $200, which I never requested in the first place, Second, when I decided to take an advance of $100, I received an error message telling me that there was a delay in my bank's updating my account information and that this would be resolved within 48 hours - this was NEVER the case, and it was NEVER resolved - to add further insult, these people had the NERVE to go ahead and charge their $8 monthly fee - putting me in an overdraft in my checking account for a service I NEVER received.
With this multiplicity of issues, I had no choice but to telephone customer service, as the chatbot was utterly useless - the gentleman was barely helpful and clearly annoyed that he had to SPEAK to a customer - I did have $25 in a savings account with them - he assured me that it would take 1-3 business days for me to receive the $25 and the $8 fee Reversal.
In fairness, this was the first time I have ever had a problem with them -but this entire experience left me utterly frustrated and frosted, so I am posting this here and at Trustpilot, Yelp and anywhere else on the web to report this nonsense and their thoroughly unprofessional conduct. Something has changed with Empower, I don't know what, but NOT for the better - so there are any number of other apps offering the same service - I would advise folks to check them out and AVOID EMPOWER at all costs!
