Original review posted by user Sep 18, 2019We went to EIB Sharjah Branch to ask them if they can reverse the bank charges for my Husband Account since he lost his job (2017), and now he wants to activate again his card for his salary transfer (he got a job offer only this month). For two years, they charged him AED 700, we approached the Customer Service Staff & asked for his help, but he just simply say he has to pay. Why they cannot understand that my husband has no job for more than 2 years, and he don't have money to pay for the money that he didn't use anyway. I can understand that they will run after for those who are not paying their credit cards, because they owe them a money, but us, we are only asking for their consideration.

Terrible experience with Emirates Islamic Bank
It has been the worst experience with Emirates Islamic Bank. They give you Credit card promising its free but every month charges keeps on added. The best part is there isn't any way you can escalate your queries or complaint to them. There is actually NO ONE who can resolve your queries. You call customer service people, they say nothing is on our hand but we have taken your request. Visit branch, they also say we have taken your request and representative will call you within 48 hours. They just take your request and you keep on waiting but no one will call you and after 48 hours you get a surprise that your request has been resolved. This has not happened once, it had happened 12 times in last 4 months with me. Monthly charges, late fees and other charges keeps on added to your credit card. When you try closing it, they will ask you to clear all dues which is charged without any reasons. They make you so frustrated that you end up paying all those charges and actually beg them to close it finally. I had terrible experience dealing with them. Never ever go for any service to them, you will be misguided and charged heavily. I have even tried closing the bank account with EIB but again having tough time because there is actually no staff who can listen you. You just need to keep on paying what they ask for.
