I tried speaking with two different advisors, spoke with a sales rep and text another advisor, then I went to Emich Kia abd spoke with Jennifer. No resolution yet. Don't deal with this company!
I
brought my car back in following day when they said needed new compressor, I voiced my feelings that it was something else not compressor. April 2025 they put in different compressor, said it was fixed, I picked up my car the following day and no change. In April 2025, I went back to Kia and while I was standing in waiting to speak to Jennifer she was helping an older lady she made the comment to the customer stating, "well we just took the part out of someone else's car and put it in your car because the customer won't be coming to pick up their car for a couple of days so we just went ahead and put their part in your car". During that visit Jennifer told me my ambient sensor was missing and it probably got knocked off by a rock, (but how does one know if thats what happened unless your under the car when it happens) and they didn't produce that part anymore so she wasn't sure if they would have to make one that would work.
The last visit on June 24, 2025 I brought car in to see if they could look at a/c again because other service center said clutch wasn't engaging and to see if it was a wheel bearing or differential issue so I could plan on getting it serviced elsewhere.
I dropped my car off in morning and I didn't get any follow-up phone calls or texts all day, I tried reaching out to Chris Green, and a couple other employees there but no response. I got back to Kia as they were closing, and I spoke with a man and told him I was frustrated that I couldn't get one person to get back to me with any updates. He apologized, and he told my ambient sensor was replaced and a/c was functioning as it should. I asked about the sensor because Jennifer told me they stopped producing those, so I was curious on how they found one, he said he was just relaying the message that he was told, and he said he's not sure what all work was done on my car but just that a/c was working again, I even confirmed that with him and said, so my a/c is finally working?
And he said yes. I went to my car started it up let it run for a few minutes and now my a/c wasn't functioning at all. I was upset, I went back in and said it not working, and now I'm upset because they lied to me, I told him is that why nobody got back to me today was because he knew damn well it wasn't working, and he didn't want to tell me so he waited for them to close then he took off. Furthermore, I then spoke with one of the sales reps and explained my frustration because of being lied to, he first apologized and said Chris Green dropped the ball on them today, and he must've dropped it on me as well, I explained because it's a waste of my time, missed hours at work for the lies.
Then he got defensive and said he took offense that I called his employee a liar and that I just needed to take my car elsewhere to get it fixed. I said what else would I call it? Then they said I made a follow-up appt the next day for a/c but why would I, if a/c was supposedly "functioning as it should" and after being lied to I know I would never make another appt. I took my car to Midas, and they said my a/c had no freon in it, so Kia stole all the freon out of my car which caused an out-of-pocket expense of $400.
I told them I wanted to get reimbursed back the money, Jennifer said if cameras show them removing freon I would get my refund, then they were trying to change their story and said my freon was low because I have a leak. They have checked for a leak on 2 previous visits and never a leak, he said it was just a miscommunication and I said no there wasn't because when I picked up my car, I was never told, "a/c still not working there is a leak" but what was told to me was that a/c was working as it should. I also asked several times where the sensor was found and they won't give me a straight answer, so I asked them if the customer whose car they took it out knows they did that. They stole the freon out of my car i just want reimbursed back the $400.
I also haven't been able to get the invoices for most of the visits because Jennifer said she's not sure why they don't have all the invoices, I have counted 11 visits so far and she only provided me with 3.
I told her I want invoices with dates and all work that was performed, and she says they don't have it.
I am beyond frustrated with them, in 7 months not one repair was completed where my car actually left in better condition, it's only left in worse condition that has cost me out-of-pocket money, loss of hours and a complete waste of time. The mechanics there obviously don't know what they are doing and their fraudulent activities being performed there needs to be addressed.
- Are friendly
- Fraudulent activity
- Car came back in worse condition
- Mechanics dont know what they are doing
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Please use caution if you get car serviced there and know that if they say a part is missing off your car i would be skeptical of them
