Cut Foreign workers in U.S. Embassys
At the U.S. Embassy in Moscow Russia, there are approximately 500 US workers and 1400 Russian nationals working. At the Russian Embassy in Washington D.C. there are 0 American workers. This is the norm for every country. WHY is it necessary to employ this many foreign service nationals to assist the high paid State Department workers already there? We, as tax payers, pay for wages, benefits and retirement programs for people who are not even Americans. Information loss and outright theft is common place and overlooked! After 25 years of service, the foreign service nationals are given visas to the US so they can apply for citizenship. This service is expedited for them and their families. I am not against thanking good workers, however there is a limit and we have far exceeded it. The State Department needs to be revamped from the top down. There is so much dead wood you can no longer see the trees from the forest.

Embassy of the United States
So very true! I just left the US Embassy Beijing on June 28, 2013 for notarization services. Just awful. Did not see even one American working. I had to deal with very curt and rude Chinese workers with terrible English. I dread having to go to the U.S. Embassy.
Over the years, I have noticed a very pronounced downward trend in U.S. Embassy Beijing's service.
