Took my Camry in for hesitating when shifting. They did a diagnosis and told me i needed a new transmission for $5000.

I called around to see if I could get it somewhere less expensive and red flags began to rise. My car has 135,000 miles and 3 other transmission specialist questioned me needing a new transmission. Toyota stated it was a mechanical and electrical internal failure and if i didn't get it fixed I may cause an accident if my car stalls. The other transmission specialist stated it could not be mechanical and electrical, its usually one or the other.

I took my car to Hans Imports and they did a diagnostic and said the transmission was fine, and there was NO need to replace it.

I will NEVER go back to Elmore Toyota for service or to buy a new car. Very shady, dishonest business.

Avoid Elmore Toyota if you do not want to be cheated and waste time and effort. See numerous complaints filed against them through the Better Business Bureaus at

Elmore Toyota uses various bait-and-switch tactics not just with the vehicles but with having different sales managers involved as well. Their crooked sales managers include Sam Errama, the general manager, Peter, the sales approval manager, and Diego, sales man.

An approval manager had approved my deal in writing. The next day Peter and Diego asked me to come in to finish the deal. But when I came in, they refused to honor the deal that was already approved in writing.

1. If Peter and Diego have any integrity, they would have honor the approved deal.

2. If Peter and Diego did not agree to that offer, they should *not* have asked me to come in and thereby wasted my time and effort.

Worse yet, when Sam Errama, the general manager, was informed of these issues, he said he'd call me to resolve them, but he never did. When I called and talked with him, he refused to acknowledge the issues and came up with some excuses. So he is just as crooked as Peter and Diego, and he continued their patterns of lying and saying whatever to pass at the moment.

So avoid Elmore Toyota if you do not want to deal with crooks and be cheated.

I had a great experience here. They got me the truck I wanted for the agreed price and no bs.

I purchased a 2015 Toyota Prius C on March 28 at Elmore Toyota yesterday and deal with an internet guy name Paul. I check out Truecar.com and it listed $17,350 and Pual called me to come down to see the car while I was at Soutcoast Toyota.

I went down to Elmore thinking it cheaper but got scam by their finance manager. I was told by Paul that the car has backup camera. We didn't back up the car so we don't really know it have backup camera or not. We agree on the final price of $18,100 with 0% interest rate for 60 mth since we don't want the $750 cash back.

The finance guy told us that he can add extended warranty to the car for free and he only talk about the payment only. I told him if the final number still $18,100 excluding tax and license fee and he kept silence for awhile and later trying to tell me something else about the car. I requested that I see the breakdown of all the fee and he finally print out the itemization close to $25K. I told him why you add all these stuff that I didn't requested and when he stated that it "free".

He tried to resell it to me and I asked him to remove it all. He then remove everything except the alarm for $695. He show us the computer screen that the final cash $18,100 plus $695 alarm excluding license fee and tax fee. We agree to this final cash price.

He then asked us to sign the documents showing $18,100 plus $695 and the Retail Installment Sale Contract which match up with the computer screen. He stated that he remove all other junk fee. He gave us all the discloser full up inside an envelope and rush us out around 8 pm. We thought he gave us the number base on his computer screen but when we came home and open up the envelope, the figure was $1,490 more.

The final cash price is $19,590 instead of $18,100 plus $695 like he explain to us. We got pissed finding out that there's no back up camera and also being scam $1,490 last night so we came back to Elmore Toyota at 10 am today 3/29. I spoke to the finance guy and asking him why is this documents different and he said he will check with Sam (manager). He can back and stated to us that the $1,490 fee was on another screen which he forgot to show us and he cannot remove that fee for us.

I told him that I will talk to his manager Sam and he said that Sam can't do anything for me. I went and talk to Sam and he said he can't do anything for me either. I asked Sam why not and he said he already lost money on the car. I told him that your sale man told us that there backup camera on the car but I don't see any.

Sam said he will talk to his sale man beside that, he can't help me with anything else. I told Sam that you guy doing a "bait and switch" on me and I will complain to the owner of the company. He said "Feel free to complain to her". I told the finance guy also and he said he don't care.

What kind of *** working for Elmore Toyota and representing Toyota dealership. These two guy are a bunch of "SCAM". They can just tell me that they added $1,490 and I have a choice to buy or walk but wasting 5 hr of my time there. I told my friend about it and he said Elmore have a history of scamming customers.

He got fool there also but he was able to walk away. As headquarters for Toyota, you need to investigate this matter or I will complain nationally and will write a bad comments on "Yelp" and other website if this matter cannot be resolve.
