Bad customer service internet parts department

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This review is only for the parts department. The online parts people are sub intelligent and dumb af.

So I used to be a customer of this *** business. Most of my orders are for parts and I order them online from their website. I ordered a part online that was NOT the right fit. I realized my mistake and try to cancel before the order is completed or picked up.

The guy never returns my calls or messages. Then I get a survey in the email where I voice my opinions about how their policies suck as well as their online service. They anyways charge me a few hundred for a restocking fee.

Time goes along and I order more parts as they are closer to my home. All is fine until a few orders.

After a few orders are completed, the *** who handles online accounts realizes that he got a bad review from me and decides to block my account. When I call and call and call, this fool John comes on the phone after a good bit of hiding and confesses that he blocked my account because of my negative feedback earlier which I honestly had written thinking it was their survey to make things better at their business. What a loser and then I ask him if its fair, he says he got the orders from management. What a bunch of losers both managers and schmucks.

Dont go here and John, fyi you are a disgrace and too thin skinned to take even a small criticism.

Dont worry about me, there are a lot of good Toyota dealers who deserve a good paying customer who has multiple Toyota vehicles. Its your loss

Poor quality control on Prius 3rd. gen.

Experience with Toyota!

Excessive oil consumption based on defective piston rings and BLUEPRINT which was released on dealership website.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z_Z6-fpt22zLdUDMGRjt1ykIwKZjLSd-/view

Finally Toyota gave up on numbers of screw up vehicles between 2010-**** but still WITHOUT RECALL regardless on miles, not including recall on defective parts such as: defective piston rings or

steering shaft which was replaced 3 times because of no lifetime warranty on those parts, no lifetime warranty on electric water pump as a part of catastrophic failure!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1QJv1qN3WU

Excessive voltage on headlights and little

lights under rear plate which had to be replaced on LED lights not including defective bluetooth modules which need to be fixed/upgraded or replaced in order to operate cell phone properly without interferences from time to time.

Toyota simply should acknowledge 3k rebate or voucher on next MODEL without law class action suit based on product which was made 100% in Japan and cost troubles in US region without high quality control.

Good luck with your care!

Paul

PS. Surprisingly this car doesnt take even drop of oil now.

Other companies like KIA or Hyundai are replacing whole engines instead of piston rings and seals for free.

Experience with Elmhurst Toyota was horrible-bordered fraud

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This has to be one of the worst, most unethical new car dealerships I have ever been to. I visited this dealership having already done all the research I needed to in order to buy a 2017 RAV4 XLW AWD for my daughter.

This may be a long review, but trust me you want to read it before you think about doing business with these guys - and I have pictures to prove how dirty they are. I immediately told the sales person that I had NO time to waste, I know what options I wanted, I knew the color that I wanted, I knew the sticker price of the car I want, I had 2 offers that were aggressive and I was willing to buy on the spot if they offered the best price. Obviously they wanted to know what offer I had and I said no. I was not going to waste time going back and forth to have each dealer beat the other offer by $50.

They had a shot to give me an aggressive price -if its good I buy. If it's not I walk. The car they had had a sticker price of $30,352, which is the same as the other dealerships. I asked for the out the door price - including ALL tax, title, plates, etc.

I felt like they knew I was serious and was initially encouraged when they came back with an out the door price of $27,133. It was close to the lowest price and very competitive-enough so to make a counteroffer. I told the sales guy if they accept $26,500 I will buy it now. He asked me to sign on that offer - which I did.

He came back and said they best they could do is $26,816. It was $100 better than my lowest offer, so, I accepted verbally and called my daughter so we can wrap up the deal. This is where these dirt bags go completely unethical. As we are writing up the deal and discussing upgrades like auto start etc, these xxxx bags pull a classic "bait & switch".

They now tell me the offer they made was not on the car we test drove, but the base model with a lower sticker price! Keep in mind...we never discussed or looked at another car other than the one with a sticker price of $30,352. The funny thing is that unbeknownst to them I took a cell phone picture of both the deal sheet of the car we were discussing as well as the offer they asked me to sign which documents the "deal". If I can, I will post the images so you (as well as the dirt bags at Elmhurst Toyota) can see what a bunch of idiots they are.

Long story. I went to Oakbrook Toyota. Showed them the pictures and explained the story and bought the car from there. Folks, they experience is night and day.

The two dealerships are close distance apart. Do yourself a favor and go to Oakbrook Toyota. They are so much more honest, ethical and fair to deal with.

Bottom line. It's not worth the risk doing business with someone who will waste your time and is not honorable or honest.

Unhappy with service department

After buying and having my car serviced at Elmhurst Toyota for 5-years, I was amazed at what happened last Saturday. I cracked my driver's side mirror; not the casing or motor, just the mirror.

I took it in to get replaced. two hours later, they said it would have to be ordered and would cost $300.00. Since I had already spoken with AutoZone and knew the price of a replacement mirror ($38) I asked why $300? Oh, the casing is cracked I was told.

So, I said Show Me. Fifteen minutes later, no crack and the mechanic says well, we crack 3 out of 4 replacement mirrors so we want you to pay $300 for the full assembly. No, I said, just the mirror. I was told (after I paid for additional repairs they found when they inspected my car without my permission) the part was ordered.

I received an email (no phone call) late today from the service director Daniel Briggs. He wants me to pay $300 for the full assembly; they break 3 out of 4 upon install.

And, if I don't and they break it during install, even though I would pay $50.00 for the install, they will not absorb the cost.

I'm speechless; to find this level of deceptive practice from a firm like this is so disappointing.

When you brought your car in on Saturday Terry and our Technician, Doug, showed you the housing on the mirror is loose and has broken free from the mirror assembly. Doug also mentioned to you that we have seen issues replacing the mirror glass by itself. (They still ordered the glass only for you). This is consistent with my email estimate to you. I cannot see how telling you about possible concerns and giving you options for the repair is “deceptive”. We have had quite a few of these mirrors break and the fingers on the mirror housing break upon install. In these circumstances, we did end up replacing the mirror glasses and the mirror assembly at our cost. We have also had a few of the installs go very well. The installs had nothing to do with the competence of the technicians, and everything to do with the design of the replacement parts. I am not sure which of the “several” dealers you have called, but when I contacted Schaumburg Toyota, Oakbrook Toyota, Bredemann Toyota, and Elgin Toyota, all four had the same concerns with the glass only replacement and the recommended repair was the mirror assembly. Their pricing was in line with the estimate I gave you. It is possible that an inexperienced and uninformed service advisor would not have known, or would not care enough to inform customers about this issue.

I feel this situation would be very similar to a patient who has, after receiving sound medical advice to the contrary and after the doctor has gone over all the possible outcomes, still has a procedure performed. He/She sues the doctor because the outcome was not what the patient wanted, but was one of the possible outcomes the doctor had warned the patient about. Elmhurst Toyota Scion will continue to inform and guide our customers to sound repairs and maintenance alternatives that will add value to our relationships with our customers. What our customers choose to do with that information is their choice. We would rather have our customers be informed of all possible outcomes than misinformed. I am sorry that you feel you can no longer trust our dealership for service on your Camry

Managers (Jim Magnelli and Brian) are dishonest, making false promises and and doesnt treat a client as a valued costumer. Never, never have them installed any after market value or even dont go there to buy any cars they wont treat you as a valued consumer even the Toyota liason assigned to this dealership is bias.

I bought a so called NEW truck last year of Oct. I knew it will be an after market value fog lights, which in the sale part they said it will look the same as originals (that was a false ads.). To cut the story short, the fog lights they installed was unsecured, they scratched my New truck, the fog lights looks like a bulging eyes(doesnt sit properly in the holes), they put little-over 150 miles in my truck(bec they have to bring my truck to their subcontructor(not from toyota) and the fog lights light's direction could be a hazzard to oncoming traffic. If any one of you guys who had the same situation pls email me at ariel_m04@***.com because a want to pursue it to small claims.

The attoney's general office cant help me anymore. I just want to make sure that I can get what I paid for and plus they've already manipulated the electricals which obviuosly is not a factory fresh anymore.

Thanks everyone, hope I was able to give you a brief story clearly.
