Elk Grove Subaru

So let's begin with my cars transmission going out on a business trip out of town already being stressful being that I've only had it for 8 maybe 9 months, but then I call Redding Subaru they have me call elk grove Subaru for my road side assistance to come get my car.. Okay no big deal they are always helpful redding subaru.

Well that's when *** just started to go down hill from there... I ended up having to pay out of pocket because well they don't tell me that my roadside was up in January, didn't think maybe I would want to renew that or something?.... So I pay out of pocket okay...

But it gets even better....

So my transmission is under warranty so they take my car to Elk Grove Subaru. I ask them if they have a car I can take and they don't they said they can get a car through enterprise rental car, but they close at 6 so they might not be able to get it for me today... LIKE WHAT!!! It's 4:45 come get me so I can get a car before they close at 6!! Common sense right I know you guys shuttle people all the time when your doing work on their cars I've done it...

I hope you guys record these convos their employees have because Edgar the employee or service manager idk what the he is should not have his job. He was the most disrespectful and incompetent person I have ever had to deal with.

So then I have to call not subaru to come get me... I have to call enterprise to come get me, by then the tow truck shows up so the tow truck driver is nice enough to take me to enterprise first because he would get me their quicker than enterprise could get to me.. I make it 5 mins before they close so I can get a rental car today because I'm not from the area clearly I don't have a car and my dog is in the car stressed out.

So I get the rental car place and I only have one credit card on me and a debit card. I don't carry much when I travel. Well the rental car was 625 dollars or something after the deposit etc.. my credit card limit wasn't able to cover that and I had a debit card but they wouldn't let me use it with out having a proof of address (WHO CARRIES A PGE BILL WITH THEM!) so then I can't get a rental at this point... Still zero help from subaru and edgar is still not being accommodating at all in anyways!

So the person with me rents the car for me! Then this edgar guy proceeds to tell me that because I rented the car not in my name the rental cant be covered... are you kidding me! This guy proceeds to argue with me... so that conversation ended with me in tears. I call redding subaru and explain to them what is going on because they have always been amazing their.

They tell me don't worry we will get this figured out and are very accommodating and apologetic. So then the next day paul calls me from subaru (Very very nice guy). Very accommodating and tells me not to worry they will get this taken care of that he will get the rental situation handled. Above and beyond nice which really made me feel better about the situation because I was just in tears after talking with edgar and being treated like I was some piece of *** customer.

So my car gets done in no time and paul even accommodates me to getting my car picked up on sunday. FYI Paul was very nice..

Here's the catch that makes me really upset about elk grove subaru after all of this... I pick my car up and I turn on the air and it's not blowing cold air.. I'm like huh that's strange so it starts to smell bad and I turn it off quickly like omg what is going on.. Then i start feeling the car bog out or like I have a flat tire I can really pin point it but there's deft a weird vibration or something coming from the car that seemed very similar to my first situation.

Mind you I'm about an hr out of elk grove already so I call the lady at elk grove subaru and shes very nice too always has been. I explain to her what is going on... So I told her I'm already an hr or more out I guess I'll keep driving and try to make it to subaru in redding. She agrees because she doesn't no what to do and the service department is closed sundays..

So I get back to redding and I take it straight to subaru...

They check it out and figure out the the ac wasn't plugged back in, but here is the best part of it all. Jason the manager was concerned because he called me and had me explain to him again what i felt.. So he said something isn't right but they cant figure out why I would feel that so they went and check everything again... BOOM it dawned on him. The people from Elk Grove Subaru didn't tighten the bolts to both front lower control arms. He said it's like someone tightened them with there fingers and meant to come back and forgot..

He said it's not okay he made a phone call to them. He said it connects your tires to your frame of your car it could have potentially been very dangerous for me. I have my car back now and redding subaru has always gone above and beyond I've always had a good experience with them, but I do want to make this known because this could have ended up very bad for myself and my passenger!

I hands down love redding subaru but I do believe you need to check on what is going on over there at elk grove subaru because clearly people aren't doing their job properly.
