I had this device for about a year before I had a chance to use it. When I started to try to use it, I encountered all kinds of errors.

I began to research this on YouTube and other support forms only to find that this overpriced $329 unit has many many problems both in standalone mode and computer interface mode. It seems to me by looking at Elgatos website That, instead of fixing issues with current products, they simply make new ones. Have firsthand YouTube posts about people who have called their tech-support and they simply throw up their hands and say they dont know what to do to fix the Elgato device. Such as no video source, the light blinking red instead of blue, no output to video.

For a device that is supposed to be standalone and simple to use it disappoints greatly. It was still within the window to return the unit I would I feel like smashing it into 1000 pieces. Its so frustrating.

I see it -now has- a one star rating on Amazon! These guys should be held accountable!

User's recommendation: Like many tubes to cry, do not buy this product. Other products seem to be OK. As a matter of fact, I purchased a USB l El Gato device but you can bet I will be testing it thoroughly this time and will return it quickly if it doesn’t meet my expectations

Last month I have purchased elgato hd60x capture card initially while it was capturing my device there were no pixel break , after some days pixels are breaking nowdays.

My issue has since been resolved by the team. I have no further qualms with Elgato

I placed an order on May 20th with Elgato for a webcam I direly needed. After noticing it had not arrived for a week and a half I took a look at my email.
I had never received any kind of updates or notifications so I reached out to Elgato directly.

The representative promptly said they don't ship to APO and cancelled my order (made my problem worse as I could have shipped it to a family member to ship to me) and I had to wait for, probably, around 2 weeks for the refund to process.
I was really upset as APO was a very clear shipping address option and there were no prompts or warnings, no updates, no nothing. It was only after my personal outreach that they did anything with my order. Super frustrating, they should not have to rely on me reaching out to them for orders to properly process (or cancel).
Elgato admitted to there being a system error which allowed APO addresses to be selected but that's not the customers fault. I was offered, an insulting, 15% discount to re-order.

After going back and forth with their customer service for 2 weeks and not getting ANYTHING, here I am. This is not how you handle customer service.
My latest emails and inquiries have gone completely IGNORED, no resolution despite reaching out to multiple contacts.

There is no other option for me unfortunately, I have to have this webcam either way so I went ahead and placed another order so a family member could forward it to me. At this point I demand either a significant portion of my purchase refunded or a full refund to compensate for my time and neglect from the company.
