My mother just had knee surgery and our room is on the 3rd floor. The elevator is out of service and my mother had to walk down 3 flights of stairs.
I don't understand how the elevator is out of service handicap people also stay at this hotel.
The representative at the front desk told me it was nothing he could do we had to wait until check out time at 12 and he could put us on a lower floor but my mother isn't supposed to walk down stairs at all yet. Very disappointed in the Greenville NC location

Thyssenkrupp elevators in my condo are always breaking down and can remain broken for months. The condo board has to threaten litigation just to get the service contract honored. Even then, service takes months to be completed, and often the repairs don't pass inspectio...
Thyssenkrupp Elevator - Scary elevators
by DelectableBullTerrier #14551571.0
We were the first resident at The Residences at the Ritz in Philadelphia People in our building are frankly scared to enter our elevators. They are down more than they are up. I personally had to climb out of a stalled elevator. Residents will not go into elevators "alone". Many have been trapped with a need to call the fire company to get them out. Some elevators "jump" from floor to floor. These must be cheap and service doesn't do much.

I live in a two years new condo and there are five elevators. Two out of five elevators are always down. Sometimes they are down for a months or more. Thyssenkrupp tech fixed one elevator, the other will be down. It is also very dangerous and scary when riding the elevat...
Thyssenkrupp Elevator - Pathetic response and initial instillation in our new school
by PissedConsumer1440570 #14405701.0
Our school district built a large consolidated school. ThyssenKrupp Elevator company had ONE JOB...properly install an elevator.
EPIC FAIL!! After improperly installing the elevator (the only thing the company does) the contractors for the school building had an extremely difficult time getting the ThyssenKrupp to come back and fix the elevator. We currently have several students unable to attend their classes because they are wheel chair bound. The teachers and staff had to carry all the classroom materials to the second and third floors.
If you can go with ANY OTHER COMPANY, do so. Based upon our current issues with the elevator and ThyssenKrupp Elevator company I'm sure we'll have issues for the entire life of the elevator, if it ever becomes operational.
Otis Elevator - Absolutely awful

Still waiting on 2 elevators to be installed. It's been nearly a year.
Come up with a bunch of false accusations that the site is not ready. Bottom line. They do not have enough manpower.

I promise you I will never use this company again! After spending close to $100,000.00 to retrofit a new Otis Elevator in a building we were presented with a service agreement. Or mistake was not taking the time to carefully read it. They assured us that they would chan...
