Refund....you wernt given permission to tske money

Had insurance from 2021../2022 never informed Elephant that we wanted to renew ...as found cheaper insurance for our car and Elephant had sent us no paper correspondence in 2021... Now ..after getting insurance with another company..Elephant decided to help themselves to almost £300... Without any consent...have tried to get in touch with there pathetic customer service and now waiting on a call back ...

User's recommendation: Avoid ..go for another company.

Sent threatening letter

After our insurance had told us the claim was closed we received a letter 8 months later out of the blue demanding 1000 pounds. The section where they added up their costs and damage to their client etc. was incorrect (as in did not add up correctly), they did not address the letter to anyone in particular, they offered no discussion, just said if we did not pay within a month they would put their solicitors on the case. By the way we were not involved in this incident their client just assumed it was us because someone saw a car of the same colour on the day their car was driven into. Harassment pure and simple.

Don't make a mistake on your car insurance start date

I took out motor insurance with elephant and accidently hit the wrong button regarding the start date of the policy,I thought no problem,I will just ring them and amend it,I was told I would have to cancel the policy at a cost of £25 and start a new one.i was amazed at their pettiness so I said just cancel it and I will go elsewhere for a new policy,for this I was put on hold and totally ignored,they took my money immediately but I have to wait five days for a refund.elephant is a subsidiary of admiral who I have used before with no problem,elephant should rename themselves white elephant,which in England means something that is unreliable,doesn't work,and is not cost effective.avoid this company at any cost they are keen to take your money but adverse to helping you.i am just glad I got out before I had to deal with a claim with them,imagine the stress involved in that !!!

Elephant Insurance and Albany Assistance - Wait 48 Hours

My car was hit on the 23rd of July. I phoned Elephant on the 24th to report this as it was too late on the 23rd. I was told to wait 48 hours to be contacted by Albany Assistance. Right enough, they contacted me 48 hours later, to tell me the garage would come and see my car. 48 hours later I phoned them as I had no response, they passed me to the garage who advised I had to take my car to them! I didn't know if the vehicle was in driving condition. The car was taken to the garage (by me NOT them) and then I was told to wait another 48 hours for the results. I repeatedly phoned and asked for updates to be told each time to wait 48 hours. Two weeks later on the 7th August I was finally told my car would be written off and surprise, surprise I had to wait another 48 hours to find out the expense of this! So today (11th August) I phoned Albany for an update, who transferred me straight to Tech Reports. Tech Reports advised me they were waiting on Albany to respond. So I then phone Albany back who advised they had not copied Tech Reports to the email! I now have to wait another 48 hours, even though I have been waiting for over two weeks now. I have actually put in a complaint already and Elephant called me to apologize and said they would monitor this for me. Elephant have not been chasing Albany Assistance or Tech Reports. I am very unhappy and very annoyed with the Customer Service of Elephant and Albany Assistance. It is ridiculous that I have waited for two weeks to get this far, and now longer to get expenses. I will not be insuring with Elephant again, and in the unfortunate event that I was in an accident again, I will not be using Albany Assistance!

I'm so happy for your review, but really sorry about your experience with them. My Daddy did say, if it sounds to cheap to be true..

Then maybe its not with the effort!
