I have gift certificates and no way to redeem them. No one answers the phone. This shows you the integrity of this company. Spend your money for a gift.. get nothing!

Tried calling, e -mailing, all to no avail. I would appreciate an acknowledgement for spending money promising a nice meal.

Horrible service

Went for lunch with a friend, we ordered our food, mine never came. Finally, the server said we do not have what you ordered. (Orange chicken?) Why did not you come back to tell us about it and offer something from the menu....of course, my friend's food got cold.

Disappointing

I was given a $50.00 gift card before the Elephant Bar closed. What recourse does a person have?

Shouldn't the management do something about this! A very poor way of doing business, which, is probably why they were forced to close. Since I did not personally buy the card, I realize I am not out of $50.00. The person who bought the card in good faith should have been able to recover the cost of the card.

Also, how embarrassing to give a gift that turns out to be worthless!

And I have no idea why it is necessary to enter "at least 100 words" in order to submit this complaint. What difference could it possibly make as far as the number of words?

Elephant Bar promised a refund of a 60$ gift card - then refused.

I purchased a 60$ gift card at an Elephant Bar restaurant in Peoria Arizona that closed within a week. The corporate Client Relations Manager promised a quick refund upon verifying the purchase on my credit card.

The following week the manager recanted, refusing to live up to her promise with the excuse that I should travel 80 miles (round-trip) to an Elephant Bar in Chandler that was still in business. I repeatedly asked mgmt.

to re-consider- but was refused with the explanation that it would still be convenient for me to make that kind of a trip for dinner. It exemplifies their arrogance, rudeness and total lack of understanding what Customer Service means.

Elephant Bar - Promotional Card Review

The Elephant Bar offset the most sickly meal experience with a $120 promotional card. They closed our area restaurant shortly after receiving the promo card. They have since to reimburse what was agreed upon.

This is a very poor company with Lacling Honor ans integrity.

Think twice before eating there and getting sick, backed by such poor service.

Caviat emptor!

Okay I admit it was probably my wife's cooking that made me sick, it was not Elephant Bar, but I am hard on cash and need money real quick. I was hoping they would give a check for any amount of money.

My wife did not cook the chicken properly and perhaps that is what made us sick, however I thought this company would give us money without question. Please ignore my post.

Never Served

My husband and I went to the Valencia, CA Elephant Bar on March 8, 2014. We waited for 40 minutes to be seated.

Once seated, we waited for twenty minutes for a server to come to our table, then another 15 to get our drinks... and water. We put in an appetizer order with our drink order. After 30 minutes and seeing a couple in a table next to us, who was seated approximately 10 minutes after us, eating the same appetizer that we ordered, we called over the manager.

He said he would personally take care of getting our appetizer and also took our order. About 10 minutes after that our original server came to take our order. After sitting for 50 minutes and still not even receiving our appetizer, we left.

Absolutely the worst service ever.

I immediately went to Elephant Bar website to let them know about the lack of service. To date, no response.

That location closed and as of this date some employees still have not been paid.

That should say a lot about this company.

Highly Offended!

My boyfriend, a friend and I arrived at the restaurant around 9:30PM on 11/24/10 to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were seated in the bar area and a server came to take our drink order. We waited approximately 15 minutes after that, during which time no one came to take our food order or check on us (or bring us our drinks). Just as I was about to call someone over to take our order, the same server who took our drink order came up to the table to tell us that he would not be serving us drinks ...

Turns out this was due to my boyfriend's eyelids, which the server pointed out as "hardly being open" ... my boyfriend was born with ptosis of the eyelids, leaving them looking low. We explained this to the server and later to the manager on duty, both of which showed no common courtesy or remorse for the situation. They simply told us that they made the judgment we were too intoxicated to be served alcohol, when we were actually completely sober. I told the manger that I was highly offended by the entire situation and the assumptions made by him and his server, but he basically said nothing ... he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. We left the restaurant feeling angry, frustrated, embarrassed, and most of all offended by what had taken place. I have never experienced such irrational prejudice like that in my life. I have to say that after tonight, I will never bring my business to any Elephant Bar location again.
