Elco Chevrolet Car Repair Review from Honolulu, Hawaii

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We had our car towed to Elco Chevy only because it was the closest Chevy dealer. They said it needed a fuel pump.

Over $800 later we pick it up. Now the gas gauge which worked prior bringing it to them no longer works- yet another $300 for a fuel sensor. John the service rep says they had nothing to do with it. REALLY??

He says he will *** labor. Well that didn't happen. My husband picked the vehicle up and didn't check the bill. Parts $54 Labor $210.

What the heck. We will NEVER be back to Elco for service or purchase. Now I know why we take our company vehicles to Weber Chevrolet. Awesome Service Department.

I wish I had paid the tow truck extra money for 10-15 more miles. It would have saved me money and headaches.

Oh did I forget to mention all of this is on a Chevy Malibu with only 36,000 miles. And after installing the fuel sensor they took All the gas out and didn't replace it.

The service manager wasn't any help either.

Just lies.

I am not one to write reviews but they really pissed me off!!

Re-Sold Car I Bought To Someone Else!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a car over the phone on Saturday morning because I live 30 miles away and I'd been to the dealership twice already. The salesman told me we had 'locked it down' and the car was mine and asked that I wait until Monday to pick it up so he could get the commission because he would be off work. I agreed to this and Monday morning came and I received a phone call from another salesman telling me they sold my car to someone else and I'm just out of luck.

What a horrible experience from start to finish. I made 2 prior offers on this car at the dealership and both times I was walked out the door without even getting a counter offer. A few weeks later the car price was lowered on autotrader to only $500 more than my original offer. So I emailed them through autotrader reiterating my offer. A sales person called me and we closed the deal over the phone. For whatever reason their manager decided they don't want to sell the car for that much or to me and cancelled the order with me. I do not believe they really sold it because the car is still listed on autotrader for sale!

This was a gift for my pregnant wife who is now very stressed out and upset for no reason. Buying a car is supposed to be a great experience and a happy time. These guys jerked me around then jerked the sale out from under me. Unacceptable guys, there is no excuse for this.
