Went thru Home Depot to have extra attic insulation installed. Salesman from AES came, gave is a quote for insulation and for radiant barrier. "Promotional deal" was that the insulation was free with the purchase of the radiant barrier. Now 1 year later, we've had storm damage and submitted the invoice to our insurance adjuster. He then called AES and was told basically that prices are jacked to cover the insulation cost. Now insurance is not going to pay full cost to replace. Several issues with this. First is fraud and deceptive trade practices, preying on the elderly, and discussing my personal information with anyone who calls and gives my address. In order to recover some of the cost, we agreed to a new quote, however salesman was a no show. Great company, NOT!

They send aggressive felons into your home
I am not here to write a review about the quality of work EAS provides, but to expose a much more severe issue. EAS hires people who have criminal pasts - and then sends them into YOUR homes when you request service. The EAS Austin office has an employee who has been arrested in 2010, 2011, and 2012. The two most recent arrests were violent crimes - one was assault causing bodily injury / family violence and the other was assault on a child or elderly with intent of bodily injury (this information is public on the Williamson County jail records webpage). If this is the kind of person you want coming into YOUR home, around YOUR family, and around YOUR children, then by all means, give EAS a call. Otherwise, I urge you to use a company that provides a more thorough background check of the individuals they are sending into your home. If you love EAS and their service, then I urge you to call them and request they revamp their methods of providing thorough background checks to keep you and your family safe!

Efficient Attic Systems Screwing everyone but themselves
Efficient Attic Systems- Offices in Houston and Dallas, some other cities aas well. I worked there for 38 weeks as an installer of attic ventilation. The amount of sketchy sh it they did and continue to do is unbelievable. Talk about bad customer service. My ex manager Joe would sooner tell a customer that they were wrong and that they were lying to him than believe that the customer is always right. If youre looking to have some insulation or radiant barrier or ventilation installed, call somebody else. These guys hire guys off the street and pay them next to nothing to go up in a 115 degree attic- and expect them to care about their work, yea right. I had to quit after nearly cutting my finger off at a customers house installing soffit vents and my manager when i called and asked if they could help me with the costs told me to go screw myself. The truth- I installed 202,000 dollars in solar vents (which are ***) in 39 weeks. I made them enough money to be able to keep a good proffessional employee . They still to this day owe me over 500 dollars in back pay i will never see. But that is all relevant bc i owe the doctor who stitched me up about 800 on top of the 2200 i already payed the hospital for "supplies" 3000$$ for five stiches; jesus is this America??

Now sending out vouchers that look like they come from the DOE (Dept of Energy).
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I work for EAS on the sales side and have had a great experience so far with the company. From what I've seen they truly care about satisfying their customers. We're told that if we ever run into a customer that is dissatisfied we can get their name & number so they can contact the customer and address their complaints. They will do follow up inspections on their attics for free if a customer isn't happy with the job and fix anything that the customer was unhappy about. I've spoken with a lot of customers who are very happy with the company. I mean, they've serviced over 80,000 homes since the business started. There's bound to be a few customers who aren't happy in the lot.
Furthermore, they DO NOT hire people off the streets. Any employee that will be going into peoples homes has to pass a 7 year background check. They are also strict about US residency. More so than any other company I've worked for.
Anyway, that's my experience. Don't rule out an entire company because of one pissed off employee. Every company has them.
The only reason they treat females good,is because Darnell is just fooling with them at office all day
Thanks for the info. They along with GoGreenAmerica seems to be out to make a quick buck and I won't be calling either!
America is the land of the greedy any more these days!
Just got took for $890 by a vet to give my cat three antibiotic shots and an all day IV for a fever, which had broke the day before. You can take a kid to a doctor for a fever and not get rooked like that!
