Like many, we fell for the excitement of travel and cultural experience in sending our daughter on a European educational tour. That was a $750 mistake. First -- the "mandatory" travel insurance is a complete rip off. You or your student need to be dead or dying before...

I signed up for a trip to go to England, France, Switzerland, and Germany. My plans ended up falling through and I couldn't go. I cancelled the trip and I wanted a refund of all of my money. They just told me that the cancellation fee was $500? Why the *** is it so...

I echo what so many others have said about EF Tours. I specifically asked at the recruitment meeting what the refund policy was. I pointed out that signing a 17 year old up for a trip 14 months in advance there are significantly high odds in this generation of FOMO...

A very dishonest business. Would never deal with them again and strongly recommend against them.

Ef Tours Tour Review

Terrible experience after needing to cancel over a year in advance. I understood about the $250 non-refundable fee, but then they've kept another $300 for cancelling. So, i filed a doctors note and insurance claim only to have it denied. They are preying on the education system for extreme monetary gain. Don't book.

Bad Service Review

Left stranded for 4 hours with luggage this includes myself and 3 other females. Ef tours blamed us for being in the rit location and that its no big deal. Yet we missed the first day with our group. They wont give us a credit or anything. Highly upset!

I was told that if I called by the "end of Nov 2016 beginning of Dec 2016 I would get my payment of $1300 refunded less $199 non redfundable deposit and $89 a late fee charge. My husband and I were OK with that. When we called at the end of November the person who...

I registered my son and I to go on a tour in June 2017. Three weeks after enrolling, our circumstances changed so I called to cancel, expecting to pay the $95 cancellation fee x2. I was informed that the cancellation fee would be $550 per person. Rather than lose...

My daughter wanted to go with members of her class on this great trip with EF tours. She signed up October 1 and we had to cancel Oct 14 due to conflicts with my work schedule. however, in the 2 weeks that we were enrolled we had made payments amounted to $800. Per the...

Sounds just like my tour. Some of the hotels were ghetto, by that I mean dirty, stinky, scary. At least half of the meals were inedible. A big portion of the tour if done from a bus window, drive by quick. The hotels are an hour to two outside of the city. The only...

My son was scheduled to travel for one week in June 2017 and we paid $95 deposit and $155 for insurance. I called the company to cancel his trip due to safety concerns, and I was told the full amount paid was not refundable. I can see losing the deposit but losing...

Jenga I cancelled my daughter's trip and had the same thing happen. I'm out $550 for NOTHING. These people are scumbags.

My advice is NOT to use this tour company. We had roughly 50 students and adults on this trip. Pros: 1) saw a lot of France Cons: 1) price is way too high for the quality of the hotels/food 2) tour guide was inappropriate - took an adult chaperone in front of a...

I went on English lit tour in 2012. The hotels were terrible as was most food. We had no say in anything. No chance to shop. One hotel staffer was heard saying they hated Americans and it was obvious with dirty rooms and broken appliances. One night we threw away...
