Unethical conduct

BEWARE OF EDMUND GLASNER22 Robbins Street, Toms River, NJ 08753 Anybody considering retaining EDMUND GLASNER should first read the following: I was looking for an honest attorney to represent me regarding consumer fraud. I was a victim of consumer fraud. The company/person refused to return my property to me, and they sued me for $7,500. I found out from the court I was represented pro se, and that there was a trial. I was not informed by Glasner as he refused to communicate. I eventually had to seek other attorneys. My case was compromised, and I lost $187,000 in property and legal fees, not to mention expenses. Cowen was eventually suspended from practicing law in New Jersey. This suspension is still enforced. Would you want to retain a lawyer who treats his clients this way? Anyone wanting more information can feel free to contact me. Anthony Raymond973 Circle DriveBaltimore, MD 212274**-**7-0837traymond51@***.com As follows are letters which have been directed to the New Jersey Courts and Ethics Committee: 973 Circle DriveBaltimore, MD 21227 May 9, 2005 Edmund Glasner22 Robbins StreetToms River, NJ 08753-**** Dear Mr. Glasner: I have relied on you to do what you had promised to do which included the following:• Entering your appearance in my case. • Obtaining a postponement in the above mentioned case.• Filing a counterclaim addressing the violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, N.J.S.A. 56:8-2.• Notifying my previous counsel, Martin Cowen.• Requesting all documents relating to my case from Martin Cowen.• Notifying the opposing attorneys, Kozyra & Hartz. You undertook to perform the above, and as of this date I have had no notification from you that any of the above has been accomplished. As you are well aware, there is a May 24 trial date. You had assured me weeks ago that there would be a postponement, and that I was free to travel later this week, until June 1. Based on your promises, my plans have been made, and cannot be changed at this time. I will not be responsible for any judgment entered against me, nor for the loss of my property and the absence of the appropriate counterclaim you promised to file in my behalf. You’re inability to accomplish what you have been paid for has cost me money with my previous counsel. I am at a loss to understand your failure to communicate with me despite my repeated requests. I especially do not appreciate calling your office many times last week, including four times on Friday alone. Each time I was told you were in the office, but were busy. You did not returned my calls that day. You have not answered any of my emails and faxes, and responded to my questions and concerns. On May 2, I contacted you, again not receiving a reply. This is a relatively simple matter, for which you have been paid. I expect to have complete confirmation of your efforts in my behalf by Wednesday, May 11. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Tony Raymond 973 Circle DriveBaltimore, MD 21227(4**) **7-0837(4**) **6-1500 October 20, 2005 Edmund Glasner22 Robbins StreetToms River, NJ 08753 Dear Mr. Glasner: You have promised to respond to a summons, and file a counterclaim in the higher court. On September 12, I was informed by the District Court that my case was defaulted. I was also informed that they had no record of you entering your appearance in my behalf, either in the Special Civil Court, or the District Court. On September 19 we spoke. You informed me the Court was in error. You promised to send me proof of your appearance, as well as other information. Again, I have waited patiently. You have not forwarded me any documentation as you promised. You have continually failed to respond to all of my inquiries about my case. I am faxing to you and emailing this letter, with accompanying documentation from the Court. This information indicates my case status is Defaulted, and I have been, and continue to be represented Pro Se. The Court has indicated to me that not only all of my property is in default, but that there is a judgment against me. If these notices are in error you must indicate to me in writing, along with appropriate Court documentation. In addition, I want a complete copy of my file, not limited to a copy of the complaint and counterclaim you filed with the court, and any correspondence. I would like to have received this information no later than Friday, October 28, or I will begin appropriate proceedings against you. Sincerely, Tony Raymond 973 Circle DriveBaltimore, MD 21227 November 26, 2005 Edmund Glasner22 Robbins StreetToms River, NJ 08753 Re: Robert Edwards Auctions v. Tony RaymondDocket No. ESX DC 0303**-** Dear Mr. Glasner: I retained you to represent me in the above referenced action. I have been informed that as a result of your negligence, a default judgment has been entered against me in the amount of $7,030. I am further informed that my property value is being auctioned off to pay for this default judgment. Needless to say, this is not the result I anticipated, and I hold you responsible for all attendant damages. It appears you have taken my money under false pretenses, and it appears you were incapable of representing me. I intend to hold you liable for my retainer as well as any other legal fees in my effort to reverse the damage you have done, and to recover my property. If you have a malpractice insurance carrier, I would appreciate if you would notify them. I also would like to have the name of your carrier. Sincerely, Tony Raymond Cc: District Fee Arbitration Committee for Ocean County
