Econo Auto Painting - Didn't Provide Services As Promised, Painted Truck Wrong Color, Didn't Finish Trailer
I set up with Greg, the manager at the Fort Pierce location to bring in my truck to be painted, and my trailer subsequently. They were both supposed to be green. The truck went first (paid cash, the only option they say), but it came out black instead of green. Greg...

Scam and a ripoff

So I come to econo on Decker Blvd and I dropped my car off to get painted.so then when they were done I realized that my fire arm was missing and the only people that had access to the keys was econo.so I had a talk with the manager MIKE, and he said I don't have anything to do about that call the police. Also, my paint job wasn't even what I wanted they just painted over the car, and they didn't even sand it because I can see old marks on the old paint on the new paint job.

User's recommendation: Don’t come there to get a paint job.

I took my car to Econo Auto Painting and Body Works on 5231 Pleasant View Rd, Memphis, TN 38134, to get my car painted and some dents repaired. The manager, Eric Holmes told me he could fix it and it would be ready in a couple of days. Since I drive over an hour, I had to make arrangements to get the car. When Eric called on September 20, 2019, I asked how it looked before driving all that way, and he informed me that he had supervised the job himself and that it looked great. When I arrived to get the car, it was worse than when I left it. There were bubbles in the paint, scratches on the door, trash was in the paint sprayed all over the car, the mirror had been broken off of the rider’s side, and the corners of the windows had not been taped behind the mirrors, so there was thick paint on the car windows. Danny, the other manager was working the desk and I took him outside to show him the car. He apologized profusely for the shoddy work and broken mirror. He informed me that the reason for the bubbles in the paint was that water dripped on the car while in the shop before the paint had dried. He then told me to bring the car back in a couple of weeks after the paint cured and he would have them paint it again, “No questions asked”. He also told me that he would personally make sure the mirror they had damaged would be replaced with a new one. I took the car back on October 7, 2019 to have it repaired. I had already personally repaired the mirror Econo had broken and when I arrived, I asked for Danny. Eric Holmes told me that Danny had retired and that he remembered me and what Danny and I had talked about, but because Danny had retired and the agreement was between Danny and I, he was not going to honor the agreement. As we walked around the car, I reminded him that the paint job had a year warranty. After looking at all the trash in the paint, the scratches, and the bubbles caused by water damage in the shop, and the broken mirror, he stated, that Econo was not going to warranty or fix the car because, “This is a good Econo paint job” and there was nothing more that he was going to do. When I informed him that I would contact the Better Business Bureau he was unconcerned and informed me that if I had any further complaints to contact the corporate office in Florida. When I asked him how to contact them, he refused to give me any information and left to go to the back of the shop leaving me standing alone in the office. Econo Auto Painting and Body Works misled throughout its 7 step service process on their website: https://www.econopaintscars.com/services/process/ They did NOT: •Properly sand or mask (Step 3) •Properly clean windows (Step 5) •Complete Quality Assurance (Step 6) •Complete final paperwork and written guarantee Econo Auto Painting and Body Works completely misrepresented themselves and misled me throughout the process. They are responsible for damage to my automobile and refuse any responsibility. They should be held to a higher standard of business practice and the rudeness of their manager Eric Holmes and his total lack of disregard to customer service and to quality is reprehensible.

Bad paint job and over charged

I had my truck painted by econo on Democrat in memphis. I have running paint, *** that I paid to have repaired is open, had paint and ashes in my carpet when I don't smoke and the old paint is showing. They had my truck for two weeks when I was told it would only take a week to do. For a $1,000 I really got screwed but thats what I get for trusting them

Screwed on 1257 Asheville Highway

People that I worked with referred me to this establishment and it was a nightmare from start to finish. They did not take their time in painting my car the first time. After my car was painted, they called me to tell me that it was ready for pick up. After it was picked up, I inspected the car and noticed that the grill had been painted a dull gray, when it was originally silver. It looked like it a complete rushed job. I honestly felt cheated!!!! Ms. Morgan said that she was sorry that had happened. Then she proceeded to apply paint thinner to the grill to remove the paint. She managed to get half of it off before deciding to order me a new one. Then, the leaves fell on the car leaving imprints showing that it had not dried fully. I took my car back to showing said imperfections. They set another date to have the car repainted. This time, like before, the new grill had been painted over. Just as the old one had been. I showed it immediately to the manager and he flat out denied it. He gave me every excuse (Lies) as to why my grill could not have been painted. I asked him to call Ms. Morgan; his reply to me was that he did not need to. He told me that he would have one of his paint specialist to look it over and let him decide the matter. The manager then went on to say that the specialist would know since he has been painting cars for over 40 years. Well, the specialist came out and said that it could very well have been painted. The manager told him that he could return to his job. Then, he (manager) told me that he was not going to replace the grill because it had not been repainted despite his specialist saying that it may have. He would not apply paint thinner to the grill, for fear that he would be caught in his own web of lies. I told him that he had already made up in his mind not to replace the second grill, despite the fact that they were the cause of why it had been painted over yet again. This fact, he did not deny. I will not return to this business ever again due to the treatment I received there!! No wonder it so affordable!!! Whatever happened to doing right by the customer, or is that saying lost in today's society.

I took my truck in for an estimate. It is black, and the roof clear coat was delaminating. I told that manager that I wanted to paint the roof, but, that I wanted it to be white, to help reflect the heat from this Florida sunshine. He assured me that it would not be a problem. That it would be done in a base coat/clear coat system, but, that they would not cut and buff it. That would have to be my decision, that they just didn't have anyone to do that. I told him, that would not be a problem, I can do the cut and buff, myself. I took the truck in on a Thursday morning, and was told it would be ready by 5:00pm the same day.-, and he would call me when it was ready. I didn't get a call, so, I called the next day (Friday) and told him I needed the truck, and when would it be ready. He said it was too cold, and it would be later evening by 5:00pm, again. Still no call, I called again on was told it was going to be ready, but, I had to get there by 11:30am, because he had things to do. I got there at 11:00am, and the truck was outside, not cleaned up, masking tape still on it, and the top was BLACK. It was painted with an alkyd resin single stage enamel (cheapest paint there is). And then I started looking it over, and I could see it was not prepped properly at all, and was full of dirt and dust, and the edges were not even painted. I confronted the manger, but, he was too busy taking care of another irate customer, that was so upset that he called the police try to get his car from them. He said leave the truck there, and he would have the roof repainted white. I explained he had already taken three days of my time, and he would not let me take the truck until I paid him. We had made other arrangements for a trade we had agreed on earlier, but, now he didn't want to honor that agreement either. And I had to pay him the bill in cash. I told him I would pay, when it was done properly, but, he would not let me have it until I paid. I told him then, that I did not want him to do any more work on my truck, and he could settle this, now. Now, I have a screwed up black roof, that was supposed to be white, that is full of dirt, and unpainted edges, that will have to stripped from that cheap paint, and prepped properly and repainted.

Econo Auto Paint in Raleigh

If you are looking for a quality paint job on your car. DO NOT go to Econo Auto Painting in Raleigh NC. I had the front bumper of Subaru painted there 8 months ago. When I went to pick up the car, the paint job was full of dust particles and overspray. After three attempts to correct the "shotty" job (over a span of 2 weeks), they finally removed all the dust particles and over spray. Then 7 months later the paint began to peel off. I stopped by the shop to ask them to fix based on their one year warranty. The owner or manager told me that they would repair, but there was no promise the paint it would not peal again. Then he said, " you know we are volume paint shop, if you wanted a quality paint job you should go someplace else". WTF? IT YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR DON'T TAKE IT THERE! Their Address is: 1602 Automotive Way Raleigh, NC 27604-**** (919) 832-****
