Verified ReviewerThe company replied to my first email, admitting its product depicted in a photo, is not representative of the product inside the box.
- - JU.ST EGG box shows 4 plant-based eggs with herbs, spices and melted cheese.
- - Actual product is a solid yellow egg with no spices or cheese.
This organization has ignored all my efforts to communicate via emails. That's why I contacted Pissed Consumer. They have not given me the professional courtesy of a response.
The photo was mouth-watering so I bought it. When I got home and opened the box, I was very disappointed to see a solid yellow egg folded together, without a sign of spices or herbs and certainly no cheese folded within. It looked like a manila folder.
When I complained to the company, I sent them a picture of the box photo and the actual product showing a vast difference between the two (see attached). Surprisingly, I actually got a response that very day and just as surprisingly here's an excerpt of the company's response:
"This disclaimer is provided to indicate a manufacturer's aim is to present their product in the most appealing or appetizing manner, and the image may include other foods that are not included on the package"
Note: The above mentioned disclaimer, does not exist anywhere on the box (which I kept, btw).
I am flabbergasted that a producer would so blatantly admit to false advertising and go further, by indicating this deception is acceptable for the sake of sales!
I'm also disgusted with this company for ignoring the next 6 emails I sent asking for a mere $13 refund.
I find it hypocritical this company's email is: wecare@***.st because believe me nothing is further from the truth in my case.
"We Care"? More false advertising!
- Plant-based foods are healthier
- Misrepresent their products and ignore complaints about it
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't believe your eyes!
