I was curious about Eastwoods trade in your guitar program in hopes of putting up an Eastwood guitar Ive had for a little while in exchange for credit towards a new model Ive wanted for a bit. Now I know I wont get what I paid for the guitar new but even as credit towards another one of their guitars I was barely offered 1/3 of what they sell the same guitar for new( the guitar was in great condition) but okay I can at least understand that, however the person who responded to me was very short and not personable whatsoever then said they only want to trade vintage or older guitars, okay Ive got a few, so I sent a list of six or seven of my older guitars all of which were made in Japan in the 1960s, literally the exact kinds of guitars that Eastwood replicates so I figured they would at least have a look and tell me if they were interested in any of them or not.
the guy didnt acknowledge anything I said or adress a single photo I sent in, and then in a pretty rude manner retracted the offer to exchange their own guitar I had originally tried to trade in and said the guitar I want is out of stock till February yet I had listed three different guitars I would be willing to purchase. Ive been a big fan of this company and was stoked that they were remaking some of my favorite guitars for affordable prices and an even better quality than the original ones, but this was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially considering I had low expectations to begin with.
