Your food is gross now
Hello,
I used to love East Side Marios. Would go all the time and always had a great value for the money.
Food tasted amazing. Now you have changed a bunch of your sauces and recipes, given less and raised the prices. My mother always loved your angle hair primavera and I would always get your alfredo or your rose sauce on penne with spinach, goat cheese and onions. The alfredo and the primavera (specifically) has changed sauces and confirmed they have changed by staff.
Your primavera now tastes like pesto- not primavera and your alfredo is now flavourless and you no longer have spinach. I decided for rose sauce last night but since it is mixed with the alfredo sauce, it was bland and the pasta was super dry (giving less portion of sauce now to try to save a penny). What used to be $13.99 is now $20.99 for dry, flavourless crap. Your bread isn't even as garlicy as it used to be.
I'm so horribly disappointed in the company's choice to buy cheaper ingredients, lessen the amount received (and or sauce put on the pasta) and charge more for it all (and yes I understand inflation but this is not right).
What once was a fam fav restaurant is now up there with a Steakhouse pricing and you get way better food at a Steakhouse. I can no longer justify going to East Side Marios with the family as it is not enjoyed anymore.

Do all east side locations try to upsell alcohol to underage kids or is this just a windsor ontario thing to get kids killed by causing accidents

Received gift certificate not activated
I finally received a new card but there wasn't anything else added to compensate for the embarrassment I felt when they told me they couldn't accept the card. I had just ienough money to cover the bill.

Complaint
We had issues with an order and they said we were getting a gift certificate by email but never received it!
So far they have not lived up to their commitments

My Reservation I had for three months and someone else had the room when we got there.
I had a reservation made in advance for three months for 15 people in the private room on Innes Road, Orleans for 4 oclock (as they dont take reservations for Saturday except for that one Room)
I had people from out of town - and I had confirmed the reservation at least three times and they also called me to confirm that it was at 4 oclock and in the private room.
When we got there at four the room had 20 kids in it for a party.
I was very very upset. This should not happen. I had chosen ESM over a number of other restaurants and then to get there and have it taken was very disappointing.
I could not choose East Side Marios Orleans in the drop down so it probably says Owen Sound. Silly way of doing things.
And No compensation was given but $5.00 - wopee. After all we went thru. Looking forward to a nice private dinner for three months and then it does not happen
Needless to say I am very leary of doing this again.

Buy one get one free not available
I received an email from East Side Marios the week before Thanksgiving stating that if we order one pasta dish we could take one pasta dish home free. We had done this before at our Kanata restaurant.
This time, the waitress said they didnt participate in this deal even though the email specifically had this restaurant on the email. I asked to speak to the manager. The same waitress came back and said they didnt participate. We got up to leave and at the door there were three young women who once again said they didnt participate in this deal.
We left. Was one of them a manager? If so, she didnt identify herself as such.
I called the number on the East Side Marios website and explained what had happened. I was promised that a manager would call me within 48 hours.
This didnt happen.
Subsequently I received another email from East Side Marios with the same promotion. The promotion ends October 17.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

Yeah so here it is my family member was harassed in your restaurant under the owener supervision Dave this the reastrunt that located Hepler road Cambridge Ontario and also right after that he ended lowering my outs to 2 dayes a week known what my situation was he agreed to the situation and did not follow any of it so here is what Im gonna do Ill be filing a law suit if this owner is removed in the next weeke ore I want 10.000 $ fir the harassment that my family indurd in that restaurant so here is my number it is 226-666**** I would suggest you call me trust 10.000 is nothing ore wrong can go through court witch it would you evin more so yeah I bleavr harassment in a family restaurant is pretty sterois effence being a food chain also me being treated like garbage the sole time working there DAVE IS THE OWNER OF THAT PLACE WANT HIM GONE

I’ll be contacting you about the harassment my family indured in that restaurant than wrongfully lowering my ours knowing the sisutaion under the owner of Dave I want this resolved I’ve been waiting for a while nothing has come back I’m asking now due how fast I can wreck that restaurant reputation in 5 seconds I’m asking for the mentally stressing me out and putting me out of my ours wrongfully when I worked harder than half of the 16 years olds in there I’m 33 buy the way but yeah figure this out quick ore I’ll make that restaurant go down harder than covic19 No one should indeere that kind of BS in a family restaurant so now I’m taking action before I go legal so ether I want a check 10.000$ for the meantaly stressing me out and my family also wrongfully doing practices knowing what was going on with me the deal I had sighted and made with Dave I want him gone aslo 10.000 for the herasment my family member indured over a simple plate so again nothing was except for my ours went down to 2 days I’ll be flowing up with you guyes this week I’ll be expecting check also I want paid full amount they missed few ours on top as well
You also complained your family was harassed by Dave at the Cambridge location, which is an hour and 20 minutes from this location. Dave really gets around!

Recently I visited the new East Side Marios in Prince George.
I was so disgusted with not only the lack of superior customer service, but the melted cheese whiz on the pasta was enough to make a 3 year old ***
I eventually approached the manager once it was time to pay the bill that i didn't really want to pay, and he had nothing to say. I explained to him how disgusted I was with everything in general, and he told me "Well, I hope you give us another try". I told him "Not a chance would I waist my money" I was expecting to get some sort of girf certificate and I would have concidered coming back, but he didn't do a thing to compensate me. Not even a 10% discount, I was even more disgusted with his not wanting to satisfy me as a customer.
I am a regular consumer and I frequently visit resuturant, so sure enough, I will NOT be going back there, and he'll NEVER get my business again, and i want everyone else to know not to go there. And if you choose to disreguard my review, best of luck to you, and don't spend too much money, You will regret it.
You eat the food, you pay the bill. If you refuse they should call the police.
You are NOT entitled to a gift certificate. If you are NOT going back why would you want a gift certificate? It is obviously you cannot afford to feed yourself. You are NOT entitled to a ten percent discount.
If you cannot afford their prices stay at home. Visit a soup kitchen.
