East Cornerstone Books is a BIG SCAM-

East Cornerstone Books is a BIG SCAM-
I am posting this as an utmost forewarning and alertness for everyone, especially my co-authors. I am s published author from Florida. Then somebody named Andy Evans contacted me from this company "East Cornerstone Books" claiming that they are a legitimate and a reliable company. Because I trusted so much on his words, he then offered me a book sponsorship and said I will only cover 30% of the investment which is $9,000 USD. I was able to pay $5,000.00 USD for my initial payment and unexpectedly on the next day another claimed to be the Brand Manager of the company named Max Connor. He contacted me and demanded to pay another $12,000.00 for the book distribution to 45,000 bookstores. Wondering, I already had this strong feeling of in doubt and mistrust because of the unusual commotion, I had things bugged my mind and then became reluctant to deal again with this company. To pacify things stressing out my mind I then decided to do my research. First, I checked Amazon and what shocked me the most is that they only have 1 published author that I am suspicious of was their first victim. I then recalled the two persons who contacted me, honestly, they have this erratic English which made me more uncertain and shattered my trust. To strenghthen my speculations about this company, I hired a private investigator and to my dismay these are the few things I found out about them; (A) WEBSITE: Claims to be 11 years in the business but their website domain was purchased 4 months ago. To check, click this link: and you can see there that the website was just created last 2nd of July, 2018. (This fact tells us they are obviously lying. What a disgrace!) (B) BUSINESS REGISTRATION: The business was able to attain its LLC registration last May 2018. See reference: and it was registered to somebody who came from Cebu Philippines. (For real? Who would have thought that somebody from the Philippines got to execute all these dishonesty just to defraud some people?! For heaven's sake!) (C) OFFICE ADDRESS: They don't have a physical office, their office is just a postal annex used to forwarding and receiving mails. See reference: (This disturbed me a lot! Imagine they don't even have a physical office? How rude and degrading!) After having to go through all these undesirable experiences with them, I contacted my bank and filed a chargeback. At first they don't even have plans in releasing my money back so I ask my legal counsel to work with it and fortunately I just won the case. To all my co-authors and soon to be authors, never be a victim of this fraudster company! This should be a warning to all of us because I don't want you to experience what I have been through. Again, I am writing this to raise awareness for everyone and PLEASE STOP this type of pyramid scam!
