Resolved: Refused to pay for replacement dishwasher

after review was posted ECM contacted me and offered me $300 toward the new dishwasher as a means of amicably resolving matter. I am accepting their proposal and so the matter is now fully and amicably resolved. Thank you.

i have been a customer of east coast mechanical for over ten years and paid my premiums on time. This is the first instance a replacement was needed. Briefly summarizing, my dishwasher was not working properly. East Coast sent a technician to try and repair it. I paid a $30. co-pay for my share of the repair. The repair did not work. East Coast stated they could not repair the dishwasher and that I needed a new one. They refused to pay for one or even anything toward one despite their 'repair or replacement' contract with me. I had to pay $700 for a new dishwasher. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). East Coast advised BBB they would refund my $30. copay and refused to do anything further so I am still out the $700. cost of a new dishwasher. EAST COAST STINKS.

Extremely poor, inferior, unskilled and untrained technicians for the Lenox system

In November 2013, I purchased a Lennox 4 Ton, 18 Seer Model # XC21-048-2**-** serial # 5813G04795 condenser and vertical Lennox Model # CBX32MV-048-23*-*-** serial # 1613J06332 air handler with a iComfort Wi-Fi thermostat and all were installed by (ECM) East Coast Mechanical located at 1500 N. High Ridge Rd. Boynton Beach, Fl. 33426 Phone # 561-265-****. Since that installation date I have been suffering with numerous mechanical and costly failures and extremely poor, inferior, unskilled and untrained technicians for the Lenox system I purchased from ECM. Various times, the assigned technicians spend hours trying to figure out the non-cooling problems and order numerous parts that don’t fix the cooling issues but continue to charge very high labor cost to install warranty parts (in excess of $1,100.00). The present technicians blame the past technicians for ordering the wrong parts. A list of the alleged defective replaced parts consists of: 09/2014Replaced TXV, vacuumed and recharged system 2 lbs. 410` 08/2016Replaced iComfort thermostat 08/2017Replaced Condenser fan motor and blade 08/2017Replaced Air Handler Control Circuit Board 03/2018Replaced 1 HP Evaporator Fan Motor 06/2018Replaced Air Handler Control Circuit Board I have all invoices with exact dates. Most repairs took hours since technicians did not know how to program controller boards or thermostat and had to make many phone calls to help in process to get AC system to turn on. Not fix, but to just turn back on. Replacement thermostat still will not configure to wireless internet. The last time ECM came to install a wrong part (1 HP Evaporator Fan Motor) that also did not fix the cooling, he stated “it’s not his problem that it does not work; he is only there to install the part”. I asked him to order the controller he said it’s not his job and he said he “does not care it’s not working” and left. I called ECM and told them what just happened with their technician and I was told “sorry”. They ordered and installed a controller board but the outdoor condenser unit still would not go into 2nd stage, the fan motor would only operate in low speed. It is still not cooling properly. I am fed up with this” lemon” of a high-end AC system with an install cost of $ 7956.00 to install plus additional labor and installation cost of warranty parts of $1,100.00 to fix the non-cooling issues that total of approx. $9000.00 and it still does not cool properly. I even had years of service contracts with ECM but with the exceedingly poor customer service and rude technicians with demonstrated lack of motivation or knowledge to correct the cooling issues of AC system that they sold and installed, I will not continue to allow them attempted fix your defective system. So the chase for the non-cooling solution goes on and on. I am totally fed up. I will not waste my time waiting to technicians; spend additional sums of money for the warranty repair for this malfunctioning and unreliable system. My Lennox AC systems a run all day and night achieving mid 70’s even though the thermostat is set on low 60’s degrees, my electric bill exceed $400.00 per month. I want to make you aware of this ongoing issue. I now must insist that you remove this faulty, defective AC system immediately. This is a completely intolerable situation and the suffering in the heat of the South Florida summer in now beyond ridiculous. I want someone with the proper authority contact me immediately so that we can go forward with the removal so that I can buy onto a system that consistently actually works. I replaced my prior Trane AC system with you alleged superior quality technology, but not so much. I anticipate to be reimbursed for the cost of the system and all of these accumulated charges from ECM that I have paid to try to repair this defective “lemon” AC system. I am an extremely and understandable unhappy customer and am looking for Lennox to stand behind their defective A/C products to solve the problem.

The removal of this faulty, defective AC system immediately. So that I can buy onto a system that consistently actually works. Reimbursement for cost of the system and the accumulated charges from ECM I have paid to try to repair.

Poor Service ECM Palm Beach County FL

I have had a contract for four years plus yet ECM Service told me to buy my own part to have my dryer fixed since they cannot find the part; a circuit board. I cannot get a call back or anything. They called, they came and they had no idea when they could get part. I called, they said they do not know when they could get part. I called, told them it was available in one-two days on internet. they told me to buy ot and have it fixed elsewhere. What a country. What a Service Company for home repairs. a dryer this time
