Worthlessness

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Paid them to locate person: Provided them with an abundance of personal information on the person to be located (last known location, family location, email address, phone number, ip address, passport#, vehicle make and model, pictures, etc.) The only thing that I received for my fees were a worthless email address and worthless pictures of an empty home. I add to chase them down to get any status updates. Who paid who?

User's recommendation: Look elsewhere. Do not pay them a dime. Why isn't there a 0 rating?

Provides No Feedback

I hired this company in August of 2018. I wouldn't say I am unhappy with their services, because it was a longshot for them to get the information I was seeking. However, they NEVER provided ANY feedback unless I reached out to them! And whenever I asked for an update, I was provided a short response with no details, i.e. info about what methods were tried, etc. Now that nearly 3 months have passed, I asked if I would be receiving any type of written final report. Their reply: "Your email responses are what you get." It would have been nice to know what "methods" they tried, so that I can know what other options may be available to me (with another company). My advice: Shop around before you hire ECI, do some research. I did not.

Sounds like smart-alecks. Always a pain.

But at least you have learned a valuable lesson that came relatively cheaply ; you said it yourself - QUOTE : " do some research. I did not." So you came away smarter if not richer ; there is no school you can attend to learn about this kind of thing - so consider it tuition and benefit yourself accordingly.

I gave this company ONE STAR! This website gave them more - I'm unable to correct but if I could, I'd give East Coast Investigations, Inc a -5 star rating.

If you want to waste your money you need to call East Coast Investigations, Inc. They will gladly take your hard earned cash and give you worthless information in return. I made the mistake of hiring them to get photos of my military husband and his girl friend living together off base and for any information they could provide on the girl friend's identity. What I got in return was pictures of street signs, the front door, the door bell, the yard, numerous pictures of the house from the outside with no persons present, and well, you get the picture right? Which is more than I can say about this agency's failure to do the same. One of their investigators (and I use that term in jest) took pictures of the girl friend leaving the house, pulling out of the driveway, and driving away - again no pictures of the person driving. He tried to follow her - she lost him and even though he was driving right behind her, he failed to write down her license plate number or check to see if she had a military sticker on her back window. She the driver in the picture of the black car. Apparently, this agency hasn't kept up with technology because none of their "investigators" owns a zoom lens. Pictures were blurry, taken from a great distance and provided no useful information. They did get a close up side picture of two cars in the driveway, but failed to pull up a few inches to take down the license numbers. In addition, don't bother calling the agency to discuss their worthless services, because they will not return your call. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY. You'll be better off gathering the evidence yourself.

Hello ANONYMOUS...... The reason for the photo of the front door was because YOU asked the agent to knock on the door the see if Target would open the door so a picture could be obtained.

If the Target would have opened the door, we would be the BEST agency in the land.... BUT, since the Target did not open the door we are the worst agency in the Land... Sorry for your inconvenience and I guess its your way of posting negative reviews about a solid company that's been in practice over 25 years and holds credentials with the Virginia Dept of Criminal Justices Services..

Thanks C. Hanson

Apparently, you failed again - this time to read my full complaint of your nonexistent services. The Target's failure to open the door WAS NOT THE SOLE BASIS OF MY COMPLAINT - but then again, you do have a history of failing to follow through.

Your statement that you took a picture of the front door to prove that the Target did not open the door, well...that really made my day! I needed a good laugh. I suppose the next thing you're going to tell me is that the picture of the door bell was to show that your person actually rang it?? Really??

OMG!! Having been a real licensed state PI for many years, I was able to write down license plates while driving. Guess that's because I am able to multi-task. You may hold many credentials, but you failed miserably with a simple divorce adultery matter.

God Forbid you take on a serious matter. Your response to my complaint was as pathetic as was your service.

Awful Company in Richmond, VA

I asked the company to get information on a particular individual. I needed an individual's divorce information. I was presented with 2 pages of people with the same name throughout the US. I confronted the company and demanded that a more specific and thorough investigation be completed. I never received a call in return. I called them back and they came up with a bunch of reasons why they didn't call me back. Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you need what they were supposed to provide, just pay an online service. That is all these clowns did.

I agree with the PI company on this one! The reason is, I hired them and wanted to write a review and found this bad review.

They are very good and care about their clients. Check out all the good reviews, and don't settle on bad ones. Anyone can post something bad and try to hurt a good business.

East Coast Investigations, you are great! Thank you, Sue ( Hampton, VA )

Our agency worked for this client and provided the results found. He had limited information and we provided all findings to him.

If I recall correctly we completed 5 of his 6 tasks with positive results. Not all investigations can be successful. The client was unwilling to compromise after several conversations.

He also called his credit card company and lost when he tried to get his money back because they felt we did everything in good faith and the evidence of our work product was seen. We hold an A+ rating with BBB and have been in practice over 20 years.

East Coast Investigations Takes Your Money and Disapears

This is an investigation company that is suppose to help people in divorce, custody, cheating spouse, tax fraud etc. investigations. Instead, they tell you they can help, meet you instantly to pick up your up-front full cash payment and then never complete the investigation! You will spend weeks on end being told that the detective is on assignment and they'll call you later. When you go to the actual place you are told again the same excuse. They will not answer your calls to their so-called direct lines. It is a huge run-around. East Coast Investigations Inc. is NOT the company to call if you have a court case pending & need evidence or if oyu want any evidence, they won't get it for you.

This must be an error as we do not conduct tax fraud investigations. We are not the IRS. This is the wrong East Coast Investigations, Inc., and not an accurate post..
