Ordered a single post lift, $2,981.00 in October 2021.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

It was supposed to be delivered December of 2021. Did not come so I waited for it until September, contacted Angela Brown and she was willing to refund my money.

Ray (parts) said it may or may not come by December 2022 while Angela was on leave. I asked for the refund beginning November 2022, knowing they make you wait 45 days (?). The refund was supposed to be sent on December 21.

Never received. Posted a poor review on their website while begging for my money.

Angela arranged an electronic transfer on 1/0/2023. There phone system says calls are coming from Texas. The Greensboro number is not set up to leave a message (mail boxes are full) so Angela helped me when the owner said I could receive an electronic transfer. She helped a lot.

Purchase from them in person, I wanted the single post lift so I went to Northern Tool and paid $5,200 plus tax for the lift.

I could have purchased it for a $1,000 less from a more efficient company. I have learned a valuable lesson.

Dismal customer service

For your own mental health, don't even think about dealing with Eagle Equipment. I waited a year after ordering two of their 4 post lifts.

They came up with a different lame excuse month after month, until finally I cancelled the order. Now they tell me it takes 30-45 days to refund my deposit.

I have never been more relieved to disengage from a business transaction in my life. These people are truly inept to the core!

Be glad you didn’t get your lift. Their product is total lowest grade Chinese junk and will kill or injure you when it fails. Eagle customer service is purely lip service with total disregard after the sale, Sad to see that the are still in business

I have had same problem. Only I paid mine in full and have been waiting on my return for as long as I waited for them to tell me they still have no idea when machines will be in.

I am on hold as we speak for the 6th time to get yet another run around about my refund. 4/12/2022 @ 1:43pm

Eagle Equipment - Mortified by support for faulty lift - Image 2

I bought a Mobile man lift, after less than a year it would only lower a one rate, FAST. This is not good if you want to stop on the way down.

The car shakes all over like it might come off the lift. It has been 11 months with the lift broken.

Part after part has been sent that does not fit or match the original parts. I have a $2000 paper weight.

Lift pickup

I rented a truck and U Haul car trailer, because of the size of the package, and drove 4 hours to pick up the 4 post lift that I ordered only to be told that they would not load it because it wasn't a flat bed trailer. Needless to say that I was disappointed to come home without it.

The basic reason that I ordered from Eagle over other similar lifts was because I could pick it up myself. With that no longer an option I will look at other dealers.

Eagle Equipment - Horrible Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Eagle Equipment has some good products but once something breaks you are completely on your own. We purchased a new Tire mounting and balancing machines from Eagle and the balancing machine broke after two weeks of use.

They did ship us a new circuit board for us to install after 4 weeks of phone calls. Now after two months, the new Eagle balance machine is waiting to be trucked back to wherever their headquarters is. We want a refund but I can not get anyone there to answer the damn phone. It truly seems like they are screening our calls now.

I really can not imagine what their customer support people are thinking.

Call me if you want to hear to whole story, it's been a wild ride dealing with Eagle. -Rosco's Garage (361) 533-****

Poor Quality and Customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a Tire Machine and a Truck Tire Balancer along with a Heavy Duty Alignment Machine from them. we will start with the Tire machine that blew off two fittings in the first two weeks of service.

Then the laser alignment machine that would only work if you turned off all the lights in the shop because the lasers were so week. After about 4 months of them putting me off and not returning my calls they said they would take it back with a 20% restocking fees I did not not agree with it but it was better than the paper weight it was. so they had me put it back in the box and on the pallet they had a freight carrier pick it up and ship it back to the people who actually make the equipment. After three weeks of call back again I find out they issued me a credit of 500 dollars not the 5000 I paid.

So I called again they told me it was damaged in shipping because it was not packed properly and sent me pictures of it in the box damaged. They say it was the way it arrived. I will say my guys did not due a great job of packing it up as far as wrapping it in bubble wrap but it was shipped on a pallet with nothing stacked on it by them I did not arrange shipment and they said the movement of the truck in shipping damaged it beyond repair. Now after months of the Tire balancer being down and them not returning phone calls again or saying the guy who can help me is out of town I finally get them to look up the part that I need and they tell me they don't have it it will be another 3 weeks before I do witch I am sure will be way longer that that.

so after it is all said and done I bought three piecec of equipment from the one I ended up paying 4500 dollars for and I don't even have it.

and one has been down twice now the third has been down for 4 months now and counting and none of it is a year old yet. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! Ordered a 4 post lift on 6/5/2015 and have been given the run-around ever since.

Lift FINALLY shows up today and the hydraulic tank is CRUSHED. Call Eagle Equipment and all they want to do is state that once they've sold it and it ships, no longer their problem. We had the trucking company show up TWICE without the lift, wherein, we had to pay for a forklift @ $200.00 each time to lift NOTHING. This company won't stand behind anything they sell and once they have your money, they wash their hands of you.

Buyer beware....and so should Eagle Equipment...I have an attorney just chomping at the bit to take this one on...I have already filed complaints with the BBB online and with the State Attorney General's office. And I won't STOP until this is made right.

Thank you for sharing!!!! I was referred to this company by a lift installer.

The price is attractive, but their websites is very basic and in their "about us" section it doesn't speak to their heritage with lifts nor can I find much details on the 4 post lift itself to understand how it is produced, design details, safety, etc whereas other manufacturers share a lot more info.

Your post sealed my decision to avoid this company and spend the extra $$ on a more well known brand name.

Problems Resolved

I wish to update my previous review of Eagle Equipment. They refunded me ALL of the money I paid for shipping (despite the fact that it was the shipper they used who lost the lift - they made it right).

Because they were willing to make things right, I am retracting my previous bad review of this company. In return, I agreed to remove my internet reviews.

They are correct that I really did jump the gun in going after them before they could really look at the situation and determine the best solution to rectify it. I thank everyone at Eagle Equipment/Standard Tool for making this right.

BEWARE EAGLE EQUIPENT unethical with financial information!!

Automotive equipment

Eagle Equipment

4810 Clover Road

Greensboro, NC 27405

Greensboro, NC and on internet, No 27405

US

http://www.eagleequip.com

In January we purchased an automotive lift from this company, we paid cash and got the lift rather quickly but it was scratched up horribly, well we contacted the company and they finally sent touch up paint, no help, no apology, no explanation, NOTHING but we got the paint to try to help matters anyway, so we decided to just use the car lift and go on with our business, however late January early February we decided to buy more equipment from these people so we contacted them first about a parts cleaning machine and Rick Peters the customer service rep. was rude with my partner a man on the phone, totally unhelpful, we wrote it off to him being busy, but I tried contacting him by email since I am the backer for the transmission and high end auto repair shop we are building. So Rick was short with me and rude in my opinion, TOTALLY not helpful, I felt it was because I am a female until my partner also told me he was rude with him. That is NOT the way to conduct business, he was hateful because I had found the cabinet from another company and told him I would rather purchase it from Eagle, Rick's company because we bought the lift from them and wanted to be loyal to them. So he was short with me, totally NOT HELPFUL! Then my husband called back to try to talk to Andy or Andrew the one that sold us the lift because he was much more helpful and we filled out a lease to buy agreement, well they were NO HELP with filling it out and after that we NEVER got a response from them, I wrote a nice long letter to them asking WHY, that this is not good business to treat customers this way, we gave them PRIVATE, important information on that lease agreement and they kept our information but NEVER told us whether we were accepted or turned down, we have impeccable credit, this company was HORRIBLE to deal with, I feel Rick Peters is misogynistic, was rude to me because I was female, when I asked him if that was the problem, I got dead space. Its scary to fill out a lease to buy agreement with a company you feel is legitimate only to have them totally NEVER contact you back, I cannot

get an answer whether my information is safe or compromised or lost or what????

BEWARE THIS COMPANY!

I'm on my second Eagle 4 post lift. First one lasted 18 years and still worked perfect - I just didn't want to take it apart and move it when I relocated.

My second one is now 2 years old and also works great. I would buy from them in a heartbeat.

I don't work for the company and use my lifts for my hobby car work. People have different experiences and I just want to report, in fairness, that my experiences with Eagle and their equipment have been very good.

Guest

I purchased a new twin-post lift for my home shop from this company several years ago. I made arrangements to pick the lift up from one of their stocking warehouses.

The whole process was smooth and the lift has worked flawlessly. I had a problem with one of the cylinder seals leaking and called them about a year after I first installed the lift. I had the repair parts (at no charge) in my hands in just three days.

I don't know why you had a problem with them, but I plan to purchase another lift from them, soon. Great products and great company IMHO.

Guest

Anon also.. I purchased an Eagle 4 post lift a few years ago.

Within 1 month one of the cables snapped. Thank goodness my restored 68 Firebird wasn't damaged because the safety locks engaged. They sent me a new cable in a couple of weeks. After that the cylinder started leaking.

They told me I would have to either fix it myself or hire someone to fix it. I hired someone to the tune of $350. The cylinder is leaking again only much worse. I checked on the local prices to repair it and it's now close to $500.

This is the Eagle 8000 4 post and it's in my private garage at my house so it really doesn't get the use that one at a repair shop would. No more Eagle equipment for me.

I'm thinking of selling my lift and buying from a more reputable company with better quality. Oh and I've also called them many times, left messages, and my calls were never returned.

Guest

Could the scratched part could have been done by the shipping company?

You state that you didn't like Eagle's response to the scratched part on the last purchase, yet you really "wanted to be loyal to them"?

Why?

Lastly, as a small business owner myself, I can only think of a couple reasons a customer would be ignored: 1. The message was never received or 2. The customer is a complete bleep to deal with. Nothing else really makes sense when someone's trying to hand you money to purchase your products.

So, "beware" of this company with "unethical business practices"... because they didn't call you back? You should look up the word "defamation" or "slander". It can and does result in lawsuits.

You may want to change the language of your title or add the part of your story that shows unethical business practices.

As I see it, they may actually have a case against you. It's just not worth it.

Guest

Looking around for a lift. Have read through the responses & am not impressed with Eagle.

Unfortunate. Seems like very good price for a lift, but if there are problems with the equipment and no positive follow-up with the seller (Eagle) then it is not a good price.

A piece of equipment should function as promised. Too bad!

Wow , i better stay away...

thanks for the information, i hear too many bad experiences with eagle tire equipment, that i decided not to spend my hard earned money with there products. thanks for the heads up !!!! :)

I have ordered equipment from Eagle for many years and have nothing but good things to say about them. Their equipment is safe and reliable.

When I do have issues with normal wear and tear, the team at Eagle is nothing but helpful. From my understanding, Rick hasn't been there is quite some time, and Andy and Beau are great to talk with. They have always told me when I used their leasing that it is from a third party leasing company, not Eagle... so perhaps that is where your miscommunication was coming from?

I got a speedy response when I applied to buy my 4 post lift.

I have always had a great experience with Eagle and wanted to share so people know that they aren't a BEWARE company. They have been in business since 1954 and that doesn't happen by being unethical.

Thanks Sarah for your reply, I am glad you had great success with them, but some of us did not, so please do not just throw those of us that had issues and want to let the public know about our issues, under the bus. Are you sure you do not work for the company?

That would be my immediate response that you work for them. I wish you the best :grin
