Bad experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered an eagle carport from a local Derksen shed company. Big mistake. They scheduled a day to do the install, so I took a day off from work to meet them at my land 1.5 hours away. They were a no show. My derksen dealer was finally able to get them on the phone for me. They had no idea where their installers were. IThey wanted to reschedule. I said no and wanted answers before their scheduling team hung up on me. Luckily the dealer gave me my deposit back and I went elsewhere after wasting a vaction day from work. Worst customer experience Ive encountered in my forty year life.

Horrible Company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is the worst company for metal buildings! They took over three months to finish my building.

No communication between office and field workers. They came out 4 times with the wrong material. Still wanted me to pay for something that wasnt finished. When the building was finally finished with ME buying the correct door I asked for the owner of the company to call me so I could let them know how grossly handled her staff did with my building and she finally did call but had no idea what happened, wanted to blame myself and the dealer for their non ability to communicate trying to talk over me and saying I just wanted to complain.

Now I know why this company is horrible, it has no leadership.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! If you would like more details before buying email me at ronniewpollard@***.com I will tell you the whole story.

My garage building is barely 3 years old and the roof leaks. They want to charge $:300.00 to look at it, after customer service kept hanging up the phone on me.

4 months after paying deposit, I have been scheduled three times and still do not have a car port. Lost count on how many times I have called. No phone calls to tell me why they didn't show up when they said they would. customer service is less than helpful. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I paid my deposit 4 months ago; still do not have my carport. 1st attempt to set up they were 3 hours late; stayed 20 minutes and then didn't do it. They left the property without telling me why. I had to call to find out. The next 2 scheduling attempts, they did not show up when they said they would and did not call to let me know they were not coming. Have called multiple times to get a refund or rescheduled; no one calls back, and customer service was less than helpful. No confidence in it ever getting done. Major regret signing a contract with this company.

How many of you complainants would be willing to participate in a class action law suit? I'm infuriated by our treatment, the shoddy work, and the amount of money it costs to have these people treat us like dirt while they are flying to Chicago on private jets for shopping trips.

This company made 3 different appointments, then showed up a day early at 1:00 pm and as there till 9:00 pm and still did not finish. The installer kicked, threw tools and screamed will working.

Then had me speak with his boss to tell me they are afraid they were not getting paid. Once I asked them to leave for the night they left all theirtools, trash, sharp metal all over my yard. They did return to finish but were very rude to my wife.

I would not recommend this company or installer to no one. If a white Dodge 3500 crew cab with a Spanish man driving pulls on your property I recommend you asking him to leave because is very rude and not respectful of your property.

POOR customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We ordered a garage 2-5-21. The salesman said it would be 3-4 months for delivery. We got a call 2 weeks later saying they were on their way. We explained we were in the process of having the slab poured and would need more time. When we were ready to take delivery, Eagle informed us they had 2 price increases. We explained we were told 3-4 months so we felt we should not be required to pay any increase. After many phone calls in which they promised to talk to the owner, they finally told us to pay the increase or cancel. Guess how much the increase was...$4500. Who would agree to pay that? anyincrease. After many phone calls with them always promising to :

Eagle not honoring contract

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Eagle Carports does NOT honor signed contracts. Let me explain.

I signed a contract with Eagle Carports representative on 4-14-2021. The price was $3107.21 after $300 deposit. I was told that they would deliver in 2-3 weeks. By 5-10-2021 I have not heard from Eagle Carports when my carport would be delivered so I called them.

After being on hold for 20 minutes for someone to answer I hanged up. I called back 5-12-2021 and got someone this time. First they could not find my contract. After a period of time they found it and said that there was a price increase and a new contract has to be written.

Called the local representative and he said that he was notified of the increase the week after I signed the contract and would call them to see what he could do. on 5-13-2021 the representative called me and said that Eagle Carports would not honor my contract and it would be $4200 if I still wanted the carport.

Well no. If they are not going to honor my contract, then I'm sure not going to trust what they say or their product.

They suck!~

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

l No idea who we were working with? Eagle, Powerbilt, Carolina carports???

l No communication for many weeks l Impossible to get through their phone system, spent countless hours on hold trying to obtain order status l Spent weeks trying to get response for status and delivery dates. l Poor and unprofessional communication with all Employees we worked with after the sales process l Incompetent- Lost construction site pictures that they required I send during sales signing l Horrible communication skills and poor hand-off from sales to delivery l We were promised a Sept install however, ended up being delivered mid-October l We were sold "Z Brackets" that were not needed (per the installation crew) l Delivery Scheduler finally made contact with me and demanded we send a second deposit by Noon that day (2 hours' notice) by written personal check via certified mail before she could schedule delivery. We were never informed a second deposit would be needed. We were never informed that electronic payment options were only available for substantial additional fee.

Never a sense of urgency from anyone except the scheduler. I had to cancel my workday meetings so I could scramble to get to the post office and send this second deposit I was not aware would be needed by Noon. Once I sent it I was never able to get the Scheduler to return my calls or texts ever, as I was still needing a delivery date. I did however specifically inform her that I was going to be out of town during the upcoming week thus requested she call me back with the delivery date.

No return calls despite the fact that I left her countless voicemails and sent her many texts without response back from her. l Delivery Scheduled requested we re-take and resend photos of the construction site as she never received them from the sales order. I had already submitted them 8 weeks prior at contract signing, thus had scrambled to retake and resend them by the same Noon deadline she provided me for the additional deposit request. Incompetency is an understatement.

l Delivery Coordinator was impossible to reach. I left him several voicemails asking for a delivery status update to make sure he was aware I needed to plan for delivery as I was going to be out of town the upcoming week. l Finally made contact with a HUMAN who indicated my delivery was scheduled for the next day. I immediately let them know that I had plans to leave town at 10am thus the installers would need to arrive before 10AM so we could provide instructions around window/door placement before we left town.

l Installation day shows up and we wait for HOURS for the installers as we were very clear we needed to leave town by 10AM. I start trying to reach any live human and leaving texts and voicemails as I was anxious to leave town. Finally at 6PM we make the decision to leave town as we are now 8 hours LATE to leave for an out of town event I had planned for over a year to celebrate a special birthday, and we have still not been able to get a hold of anyone that can tell us the status and installers have still not showed up. l Delivery Coordinator left me a voice mail indicating "my delivery and installation was completed".

-Completely inaccurate as I was still waiting to find out delivery and installation dates l 6:30 PM day of installation the installers FINALLY call us and indicate that they are at our property. We are now 30 minutes out of town and they demand we turn around and drive back to meet them despite the fact we have been waiting all day and unable to reach anyone all day. Installers also voice concerns about Z brackets in our order that are not necessary and concerns around needing electricity at the job site which we specifically indicated we did not have utilities available during the sales process as well as the initial order process. Again poor communication from sales to throughput.

At this point I am thoroughly frustrated with the entire experience and tell them that they can just leave and we are canceling the order as I have lost all faith in this company. l We email (only dang way to communicate) the original Sales team and I indicate I am canceling order as well as second check for additional deposit as they have failed horribly at delivery not to mention ruined a surprise out of town birthday party that I planned a year prior. l Sales team request a conference call and begs us to reconsider and allow them back on property and "they will make it right". Against our best judgement we agree to allow them to come back on Monday and do not cancel the order.

l Installers show up as planned on Monday as a second attempt to install barn. They were professional and did a great job however, installers invoice did not include the 2nd deposit we put down or a credit for the Z brackets, thus we did not have an accurate final payment. After multiple attempts by myself and the installers to make contact with the company to find out the accurate final payment so I could write them a check I finally heard back from Ed (Sales Associate), who stated the price is actually HIGHER even with the credit for the Z brackets due a mistake THEY made calculating tax. Again completely incompetent!!

He also insinuated I failed to send the 2nd deposit because the tracking number was unidentifiable which was a complete lie since I send them a screenshot of the USPS certified mail itself. When I voiced how ridiculous this was, as their attempt to "make it right" was a far cry from reality he refused to talk to me any longer and told me he would only communicate to my Boyfriend because I dropped an F bomb on our call. Yep, I did, I cussed. Your darn right I did this was a HORRIBLE experience and I had every right to be angry.

I should never have believed they would "make it right" because they continued to fail on every level. Maybe Ed should know I signed the contact and NOT my Boyfriend. Either way it didn't matter because we never heard from him again either.

I will note the installation crew was great!!! They were the ONLY darn thing that was good about this company.

They may have lacked in their ability to speak English BUT they had good communication skills which is something this company could learn from.

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Once they get your money they stop communicating and are completely incompetent, unprofessional and rude.

Terrible workmanship, constant cancellations for repairs costing me to miss workdays.

I was assured that I did not need to be present on install. The building was installed in the poorest manner which included several bent sheets, missed anchor bolts, scratches to painted metal, sloppy trim work, trim work lapped different on opposite sides, multiple screws installed missing frame on backside support. To top this off I have missed 2 workdays to be on site only to be informed of cancellations. I wrote a complaint and was called by an employee as usual I was promised that this damage would be fixed I was told during the installation that the pandemic of corvid 19 would not effect them since installers work outside.. They installed my carport with mostly damaged materials. It has been months and heard nothing from this company, After the office called for me to send my pics to them.. The same lady verified she has the pics.. My carport looks to be over 10 years old, very sad for this kind of customer service.

On June 15, 2020 i went back to the dealer and ordered an 8 x 10 roll up door. They took my order i paid my down payment. Was told it would be installed in 3 weeks. I called wanting to know when they would be here. They didnt have my order. I was notified by a manager and sent a copy of my order. I called today to see if they had it. I was notified they refuse to put up my door because i didnt get them to do all the work. Now i have to get the door elsewhere after waiting on them for almost a month.

To Warn Others

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Never Again

I had used American Steel Carports previously and had No Complaints except they would not hold the sales tax. I have a ranch and the carport is closed in 3 sides was going to be used to provide shelter for my livestock.

So I went with Eagle, even though the color was not exactly the same.

It had been almost 4 weeks, and less than a week before the install I get a call from the manufacture in TX saying that they are out of Royal Blue and unless I want to wait another month I would have to choose another color.

So more conversation with the seller in NC, I find out that they get their metal from Dallas TX (not too far of a trip from Nacogdoches TX where they manufacture the carports), but they get their metal from CHINA! And TX was out. So it becomes Crystal clear that it will be even more time than that, so because it is going to be over two months, I tell them I want to cancel the order. I am told that I would lose my deposit, and so I had to call the Manufacture in TX.

So just before I called them again, I get a call saying that they had found" some more blue and the carport would be delivered as promised.

Story Over? Heck NO.

The installers Refused to take the scrap metal with them!

And Left Screws and metal all over my paddock! The finished product is inferior to my American Steel Carports, and was about the same price, and I had NO install issue.

Called my dealer. Needed to buy a 10' ft. piece of 2.5" square tube framing. Dealer said no problem he would order it. They would bring it out next time they were in town. Then I would not have to pay shipping. So 3 week later they call tell me they will be out next week and could I have a cashiers check ready for them. I said how much. She said 215.00 dollars. We are talking about a 20.00 piece of metal. I had just purchased a 5000.00 dollar building 3 months prior from them. And going to order a 1700.00 carport. Told her she could stick the piece of framing and the Carport where the sun don't shine. Really. The dealer who is really a nice guy took care of the charges. No thanks to Eagle. They could only hope for more dealers like Jeff Hernandez.
