I purchased a DVD player (Sylvania) from Best Buy. IT was 85.00.
2 months later didn't work so Best Buy wouldn't take it back. I called supposedly Slyvania customer service but was Curtis manufacturing. They told me they would send me an email with instructions on what to do. I have sent them no joke- 15 emails with photos of their product that just doesn't work.
I called yesterday after several other calls. She said they had all the information now and were proceeding. This morning I got another email saying they wanted a photo of the dvd that I sent NUMEROUS times before.
This is by far the WORST customer service I have ever seen. Very discussed and will not buy another Sylvania product but Im not giving up.

Sylvania - Dvd starts and plays for about 5 seconds then stops

bought unit yesterday, set it up, started to watch the dvd, and then stopped it. tried to watch it again today, after about 5 seconds of play, it back to stop.
now it repeats that everytime we try to play a dvd. called the customer support number, gave them model #, S/N# and explained the problem. was told they would send an email to resolve the problem.
what I got was , a request for pictures of my receipt, the front and back of the unit, a clear video clip of the issues, a detailed explanation of the problem, etc!! This is unacceptable!!

I just opened a BRAND NEW UNOPENED Coby DVD-207 box and I get the error message “no disc”. I am using store bought DVD’s not ones that I have burned myself.
