They damaged my floor and a piece of furniture
I purchased a stove from Lowes Home Imp they used a 3rd party delivery co. A man called and said they were coming early and if I did not let them I would not get my stove that day.
A man got out of an unmarked truck and said where is the kitchen.
He dragged the old stove across the floor in front of my dishwasher. He did not put down a floor mat or anything, just dragged it out of the spot.
They took the stove out of the box and removed the safety tape from the stove before bringing it in. As they were turning a corner the warming drawer opened and dinged my sideboard. I was standing right behind them and saw it.
The one guy bent over and closed the drawer. They knew the drawer had hit the furniture.
I asked when they were going to put the anti tip bracket on the floor & he said "we do that only for new houses" and if we did "we would have to drill from under the house up to the stove".
That was a lie.
After they left I saw two cuts in my kitchen floor and a spot on my furniture that the drawer had hit. I had taken pictures before and after.
I filed a claim but the owner of the company called me a liar and said he was not going to pay my anything for the damage.
Preferred solution: I asked for $1200 The owner Mr. Hinton would not do anything without seeing my home. I am at high risk and have autoimmune diseases and got sick after this delivery. My doctor said not more strangers in my home.
