So many problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Camper 2020 Kodiak cub. First trip. Pump would always stay running. Found plugged screen. 2nd trip got home from three-hour drive. All the shades fell off walls. 3rd trip. Set up trailer 2 hours later lots power. Unable to fix had to go home. Hired electrician. Found white wire to main plug not connected. Bolt was broken and wire came out. Also found a wire that goes to breaker loose. Poor quality of work. Could've caused fire to camper. Please inform your employees of safety. This could've been bad for my family and or next family.

Used one time, fell apart before we ever even went camping!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Bought in March, Covid hit, and we finally made reservations for July to go camping. Water pump doesn't work, noticed the fireplace crooked by about 2-3 inches, fridge door falling apart, light switch doesn't work, railing going outside on steps broke in my hand and I fell down steps to the ground.....did I mention I only weight 140 lbs??

Strips behind the awning, covering the electrical, fell out and the release cord for the $3500 installed Anderson hitch broke. What the heck? Its been in the shop with one service person working on all campers. I don't see using the camper anytime soon in the future.

Sad to pay over $50,000 for something that falls apart with poor workmanship. We had an old camper that that was built so much better that we sold to buy this one.....wish I could go back in time!!! I gave low review because of getting to use my camper.

Would have been a great value for my money if I was using and didn't have all these problems. That's no value and you should have better service to fix all the problems that your manufacturer screws up and doesn't care about the buyer, just the money we waste buying your cheap product.

I have been contacting all to get these problems solved. Now, six weeks after being in the shop, the black water release doesn't work.

Still can't go camping!! Can't winterize until that part comes in, been waiting over 2-3 wks for that part and for someone to repair it!! Also, there are screws hanging down, 20-30 of them under the belly. Looks like they ran out of short screws and just used long screws to finish the camper.

Looks terrible. We used this camper one time this summer, and couldn't even use the shower because of the pump. Would you be happy paying $400 a month for a BRAND New camper and couldn't even use it? Don't think so!!

I had already talked to Denee Mast, Retail Advisor in May. Vin #4YDF3172XLM960094 Vin #

Dutchman will only try to patch what’s wrong. Not actually fix it. They don’t stand behind their product.

Lack of support by the company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a Dutchman Denali 26RL-DSL. The dealership in Dothan is not allowed to order OEM parts. Only after market parts are available. Apparently, after trying 2 other out of state dealerships, I get the same story. WHY should I spend good money on a product the company refuses to support?

The list is long

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Where to start? First, at our destination on the first trip I noticed one of the dump valves was on the ground.

When I looked under the camper I found 2 of the 3 dump valves were anchored to the frame with zip ties to the bolts that should have been anchoring the valves. When we returned from that first trip my wife saw a wire hanging from the roof and I discovered that the antenna was gone. Thinking I may have hit something I replaced it only to have it disappear again. This time between destinations so I know I didn't hit anything.

Next, while doing the dishes one trip my wife noticed water on the floor and I found that the drain had become unattached because there was nothing to support it. Driving down the road just shook it loose. Than when we got to one destination we found the recliners in the curbside slide in the middle of the floor and the trim from the bottom of the slide on the floor. They were not anchored.

Other defects include: microwave came unplugged and there is no access to the plug without removing the oven, almost all of the cabinet and drawer handles were loose and or misaligned, many of the drawer slide screws were stripped which we discovered when one of the drawers fell out, there were staples just sticking out of the ceiling, the gas line from the outdoor kitchen stove was to short if the stove was locked in position, loose spots in the floor, trim falling out and nail heads exposed, and to top it off, we already had a tire fly apart.

This is a 2019 Atlas that we purchased in June that has already spent 3 months at camping world. We have been RVers for over 30 years and have never been close to being this disappointed in a product.

Literally, their supervisor know nothing. They’re in basically on repeat because they have no solutions.

They just create more headache and hassle for the customer. They refuse to stand behind their product.

Massive repairs in first month

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We bought a 2020 Coleman rear lounge trailer June 12th of this year and less than a month later weve had to haul it back to the dealer 3 times. 360 miles round trip Bad eyebrow on the refrigerator, floor repair, and now the water pump is bad. Very disappointing to say the least. Also very costly to keep returning it for repairs.

Water damage due to manufacture defect

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a 2018 Voltage 3805, towed it home and it has set for about 4 months. I took into my local dealer to check it all out and all 3 slides have water damage. If you pull the drawers out of the wardrobe in the bedroom slide its so bad orange mold is growing, the other 2 slides have water damage as well. There is impact issue none of the slides show any neglect, this is just a *** product and they wont stand behind it.

I have a Kodiak that we purchased last year. We have been trying to get our table fixed since then. It is crocked by about 2 inches and we can't use it. Could I please get some help from yopu.

We have contacted our dealer and they say there is nothing they can do with it, I know there are shorter legs because Campers world carries them so why can't they get one for us .Don't think I would recommend the dealer. We also been trying to get the recliner fixed because it sticks and doesn't want to come out without pulling it out. They have worked on it but never get it fixed. I do not have a right now but can get one if necessary and that is of the table.

Coleman Frame issue

Dutchmen - Coleman Frame issue
Updated by user Apr 28, 2021

After multiple new GM's and service employees ( Almost every time I went in to check the status of my unit in service, someone else was at the counter) and the problems poorly addressed, it is now out of warranty. Finally was able to trade it in because of the pandemic...

Updated by user Aug 06, 2020

Update July 2020: Camping World called mid November 2019 and told me to pick unit up. By this time it was cold and some light snow.

Brought it home, but couldn't verify repairs. Spring of 2020 put slide out and found metal shavings on the rear floor and sealer oozing...

Original review Oct 23, 2019
Bought July 2018. In service for 3 months in summer of 2018.

First season wasted. Back in service June of 2019. Been at Camping World for over 4 months. Second season now wasted.

they are deciding what do do with crooked front tongue problem. Front tongue jack sits at an angle and tongue is visibly bent upward. Complained about frame the first day we bought it. They spray painted it and said it was normal.

Seems I also got a unit with frame flex issues.

We also have had a list of other things falling off or apart, but the frame is the worst problem. Not happy with the 3 year structural warranty they claim to have.

If your camper has the cable slideouts, don't buy it

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bought a $50,000 2018 Dutchman 5th wheel toy hauler from Camping World. This was our retirement gift to ourselves. Now we are afraid to go anywhere with it.We were getting ready to leave to go camping for the 3rd time when the gear box motor went out on a new camper for the slideout.Called the manufacturer Dutchman on the problem, they told me to contact the dealer.Camping World advised me that the warranty was up after one year.We had the camper 1yr. and 2 days. After checking the internet,it was found that there are alot of problems with this gearbox leaking and gears stripping. The gearbox is above the slideout and when it leaks it melts your rubber on the roof. One guy said this was his 4th replacement in 4yrs..I can't beleive that Dutchman will not correct this problem. If the gearbox goes bad with the slideout out,you have to push the slideout in by hand in order to move your camper to get it fixed at a dealer, thats a little hard when the slideout is almost 10' long you need several people. Then you will have to wedge boards inside on top so the slideout will not come out while travelling.

Beware of the laminated lightweight flooring. Will not hold up. Ours is a 2017 that's only been used a dozen weekends...So far they are offering no assistance to get this manufacturer defect resolved.

Been to 3 dealerships for assistance. 2 of the 3 says it would have to be a factory repair. They are not capable to do such an extreme repair. Dutchman said turn it into the insurance company. Passing the buck. I'm sure they have a ton of these defective units out there. This is a major issue. They have been very unhelpful in helping us bring resolution to this problem. meanwhile I'm making payments on a 2 year old camper that has a flooring that (according to the dealership) could fall through anytime.
