Very Unhappy With Ducktoes Computer Services Calgary!
The computer which I had repaired by Duck Toes is still not working correctly after two visits to the store! The events are as follows:
1. During the first visit the technician installed a new power supply.
2. After I got the computer home I stared hearing a loud humming noise which would come and go so I called Duck Toes to say that the computer was humming and I felt it was from the new power supply as it had never hummed before.
3. I took it back to the store and the technician looked at it and thought it was the graphics card humming (even though I thought it was the power supply) and he installed a new graphics card. It seemed ok when he first installed it so I took it home.
4. The computer began humming again shortly after I took it home and I called Duck Toes to let them know but the technician was very rude to me and hung the phone up on me!
5. The computer is still humming (at times very loudly) and the graphics driver keeps failing and then recovering.
This computer is not repaired and I do not believe I needed a new graphics card. I still feel the problem is with the power supply unit installed and question the quality of it and if it is compatible with my dell computer.
I am copying this letter to Consumer Services Department, Alberta Government for their information. I would like a qualified technician to replace the power supply with a quality one and replace my old graphics card as I do not think it is related to the humming problem. I would also like a refund for the second graphics card as it did not solve the problem and in fact has created another problem.
If my computer does not get fixed right soon I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!

I would love to help resolve this issue and refund the entire amount if necessary. However I can not find your name anywhere in our ticketing system.
Also it seems your case seems unfamiliar to any of us. Normally we don't just replace parts like this. We test the power supply for failure and check out its fan to see if it is making the noise. We would also check its output and circuitry.
We would find the source of the the noise by removing the cover and to see if it were the graphics card, power supply, cpu fan, hard drive or other part. If we suspected the graphics card we would check that out too and test it and see if its hardware failed. In fact the first step of our is to run a test on all hardware. If despite all this we made a mistake we would instantly refund your money.
I would love to do this personally, would enjoy helping you immensely.
I worry however that you are not a real client of ours but a competitor who wants to hurt our reputation not by your better work but by false reviews. Please prove to us this is not the case.
Also did you bring your computer to us when you are located in South Africa. If you did bring your computer under a different name, please tell us what that is so we can help you.
