Where to start. Living conditions in their 1811 Tamarind location in Hollywood are appalling and downright inhabitable. Water only working on and off, renovations causing allergies. My dog had to get on three medications because chemical irritants caused his eyes to swell and water. I often can't shower. I've had to climb over debris to get out of my apartment, and construction will often begin or end long after legal hours. I was gone for a week and i came home and my window sill was covered in soot and my floor turned my feet black. This place is criminal. It's so bad that a tenant posted the number of a housing rights organization on every door and i have now contacted lawyer.

User's recommendation: Save yourself.

Aka 505 investment company llc/ slumlord ely, Jonathan & Daniel Dromy buildings 1343 & 1349 n Martel ave, LA has bed bugs before in 2015, 2016. Now 1343 has bed bugs AGAIN. Slumlord didn't consistently & urgently getting rid of bed bugs. I was up all night trying to catch bed bugs, my body has bed bug bites, just got back from doctor and now I'm sick. They don't care about the health of tenants including the disabled seniors and pets. They intentionally inflicting emotional distress to the tenants. I told them to change from Dewey Pest to another company but NO! This should be a criminal act, LA Public Health Dept is investigating slumlord! People if you live in any of slumlord buildings speak up and report them.

I'm sorry about your situation. That sounds awful.

I'm also sorry to tell you that no extermination effort can be fully successful unless you discard everything in the place that isn't made of metal.

All furniture. Bedding. Rugs.

Clothing.

Children's toys.

It's a disaster but even if you move away tomorrow the bedbugs will come along.

Horrible apartments on Martel

i went to look at an apartment that Dromy International Investments owns they rude the inside is cheaply put together and they want an outrageous amount for rent. But while I was walking away I heard one of the tenants say to someone that may have lived there that they were turning them into condos this was never told to me and if so they should tell new tenants. But they know if you rent from them and you are not there long enough they do not have to give you that moving fee and just give you a thirty day notice to vacate
