Contractor was very unprofessional, did somethings in my apartment that very unsanitary, had no regards for my safety or health and very disrespectful.
I had a water leak from my living room ceiling. In which I had to call DCRA to get the needed repairs done. After the pipe in my living ceiling was finally repaired, the next step was get a contractor to put up new drywall, plaster and paint to complete repairs. My apartment is an occupied apartment and there are certain rules and guidelines for occupied apartments that contractors should obey and follow. But with this particular contractor the safety guidelines was not enforced totally ignored, he had no regards for my safety, health and was totally disrespectful. This contractor put his dirty, filthy bucket in my kitchen sink inside my dish pan twice after I told him not to use my kitchen sink, there was food on my kitchen counter when this was taking place. The contractor later stayed in my bathroom with the door closed for over 25 minutes last but not least, this contractor washed his paint brushes in my bathroom sink(face bowl). This was extremely unprofessional, unsanitary, no regards for my safety, health, Im a senior citizen with health challenges. This should not have never happened in my apartment especially since my apartment is an occupied apartment not a vacant apartment. I living conditions was totally violated by this contractor. I threw away everything that the contractor came in physical contact in my kitchen and bathroom. After reporting this to upper management of Dreyfuss Management and asking that I be reimbursed for the items I had to throw away due to their contractor unsanitary, unsafe actions and having no regards for safety and health in my apartment. Dreyfuss Management, Luis C. refused to reimburse my for the items that I had to replace, I was not going to reuse anything that the contractor came in contact or possibly came in contact with in my kitchen and bathroom. Luis stated that due to investigation that my reimbursement was denied. What! What investigation.No one from management never came to my apartment to investigate what happened or to see what items in my in my kitchen and bathroom was affected by this ordeal that should have never happened in an occupied apartment.
User's recommendation: I have had some bad experiences in the past with Dreyfuss contractors. I have had furniture damaged and items stolen. This is a recommendation and warning for future customers and tenants who are already customers. Beware of contractors, I have a written statement in my files stating that…..”No one is allowed in my apartment when I’m not home.” Only in case of emergencies if I’m not home management and or contractors can enter.

Carriage Pointe At Aquia Apartments
Dear Carriage Pointe At Aquia & Dreyfuss Management: I did this video to show what we have to go through with the current apartment unit we are living in. It is 82 degrees Fahrenheit in this apartment unit and it has been this way since yesterday when maintenance came in. He came in and I could tell he was agitated. Then he stated that basically that the bathrooms do not have fans because they are outdated. So if there is mold and mildew growing in there you know why. It takes the leasing office a long time to respond to emails and at times they do not respond to everything in the emails. I have asked for a copy of the lease to be sent because I had lost it in one of the emails and we never received a lease upon move in. We were even required to resign documents that were signed prior to move in. But do not have copies of it. We have asked for them but have not received them. May you please answer in a timely manner and have your maintenance personnel be more professional and considerate because it sincerely felt like we were asking too much and that we were not already doing what we could to get this air conditioner to cool down. The only way for it to cool down is if the windows are open as at night and I cannot have them open all day because of the pollen. This is by far the worst renting experience we have ever had. I hope you improve the quality of professionalism and tact plus consideration when it comes to issues as stated above and in this video. I would not recommend this place ever to anyone just for them to go through this. -Mariavictoria Bennett
