Dr. Candide Petrol examined my son and told us she could open up two spaces for adult teeth that were being prohibited from coming in.

After 11 months, she got very angry during his visit. She said his gums were "horrible", she brushed his mouth so hard over and over and kept pulling the bloody toothbrush out to show us. It was literally dripping blood and my son was hurting. She then told us that we would have to go to an oral surgeon because the spaces she was trying to open up, with braces, just "weren't going to open".

She said that without those teeth she could not correct his overbite and he would need to get his jaw broken and wired to correct it at age 22. (News to us!). She also told us to make a "hygiene visit" with our primary dentist. Then, without even a brief discussion, she yanked his wires but left the brackets on, and referred us to HER oral surgeon (who tells her patients whatever she wants).

In fact, this particular oral surgeon is out of our dental PPO network and charges about $1800 for two extractions!! She also left the brackets on just so she could ensure continued billing of us and our insurance. Once the wires are off, the brackets are just metal stuck to teeth, providing NO treatment whatsoever. But, she kept billing us for 2 months.

She was SO DEMEANING to both of us in a room full of other patients. I am one tough woman, but my son and I left that office in tears and embarrassed. After consulting 3 oral surgeons, I was told that braces NEVER would have opened the space for those crowded adult teeth to come in. So, between my insurance and out of pocket monthly payments, we paid $2700 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but an unnecessary verbal public spanking in her office.

She's an awful practitioner and an even worse person. Unethical doesn't even begin to describe her! An ethical professional would have recommended an oral surgery consult BEFORE even considering braces. Nope, not her!

It's all about the money and her ego. The $263 IN network fee for my son's extractions is all the money I should have ever paid to begin with.

She is a joke!! all though they are very nice in the office, Dr.

Petrol is all about money, she wanted to charge me over 3,000 dollars for 6 months left on my daughters braces, we transferred to her with only 6 months left and she charged me full price as if she was the one who put them on. When I ask for the break down all they could say it was her professional fee. She only saw my daughter 4 times and we left!!!

we are still responsible for the rest of the cost, take me to court!!!! you will never get it you are nothing but a scam!!!!!

Dr. Petrol in the Temecula area of Riverside is arrogant, pushy, vindictive and unwilling to listen to her patients.

She provides shoddy orthodontic work. She is evasive and lies when confronted with her terrible work. She manipulates results to hide her lack of expertise by unnecessary grinding to give the appearance of straight teeth. Instead of orthodontic treatment she appears to be a sculptor when presented with her shoddy work.

Dr. Petrol seems to be a popular choice for people with children because the children often aren't aware of what terrible work is. Parents remain jaded and unaware as Dr.

Petrol has crafted a wonderland of bribes consisting of toys, candy and collaboration with local photographers - A real marketing genius to garner bussiness from unsuspecting children and adults.
