Unnecessary Dental Treatment

No one should have any dental work done at Dr. Mexico. The owner is an American expatriate (not a dentist) and he pumps his U.S. patients for as much money as he can get. Briefly. Dr. Mexico's endodontist (Dr. Leticia) performed root canals on #27, #29, #18 and #20 when they were not needed. She also did a root canal on #19, and then told me it could not be crowned, because the tooth roots were too shallow. Root canals are ALWAYS crowned! Otherwise the tooth fractures and nothing replaces the tooth or an expensive implant goes in. This is what Dr. Leticia wanted. She wanted #19 (large molar) to fracture and come out, so Dr. Mexico could make $1,700.00, putting an implant in (implants are about $4,500.00 in the U.S.). The total bill from Dr. Mexico was $5,245.00 dollars, U.S. The above 4 root canals and porcelain crowns (I was not charged for #19) totaled $3,000.00 which I should not have been charged for. Get the picture?! Stay away from Dr. Mexico. They are deceitful people who will lie to you about your dental needs in order to make as much money as possible. Jed.
