My mother was referred to Ms. Pop due to the incredible rudeness of the staff of Dr. David Petros at the time. No complaints, was my dr for 8 yrs prior to her passing! Very knowledgeable, personable and caring! Will be hard to find one like her! Also love her PA/NP!!

Not worth your LIFE

I was referred to Dr. Pop-Moody in December 2018 and had my first appointment in January of 2019.

Dr. Pop-Moody came in for about 6-7 minutes and I was left with a NP. In my paperwork I informed them that I have a compromised immune system due to cancer and that I also have eye disease. I just asked for something for the inflammation and pain; however, they insisted on putting me on Methotrexate.

After about 3 days, I contracted an Upper Respiratory Infection and had to get off the drugs. Four weeks later when I was cleared up, I went back and they put me on Plaquanil, which can cause eye disease. I'm already blind in one eye and trying to save the other. After about 3-4 days on this poison, I ended up in the ER with pneumonia and a bacterial blood infection.

I'm still in pain but on the road to recovery with the rest. Believe me when I say these people are not interested in your health, they are just interested in how much money they can make off you between their office and their pharmacy.

I will not go back and I will try my best to steer people away from this supposed Dr. A true doctor cares about you and actually spends time with you in order to work with ALL your medical issues.

Dr.Pop-Moody is one of the best physicians around. We are lucky to have her. Perhaps she was not a right fit for you but to go and say that she is just interested in making money is by far the most ignorant thing one can say about this doctor. Dr.Pop-Moody is one of the most charitable people out there.

And to say that she is not interested in one's health is a true lie and insult to her practice. Not sure what your definition of a "TRUE DOCTOR" is but the Dr.Pop-Moody is one of the most caring docs I have come across. Your comment is truly laughable.

Good day. Maybe the next doc will feed into your BS and "just give you something for pain & inflammation" as you so stated.

Ive been going to this office for atleast 10 years and the only person ive ever had issues with is CINDY FROM MEDICAL.. she's very rude to me...always inconsiderate. Unbelievable character!! Even when she sees me out of the office bumping into each other at HEB or Walmart.... I'm tired of the way she treats me and I'm NOT the only one. I've already started looking for another dr...WOULD RATHER STAY WITH POPMOODY BEEN WITH HER FOR SO LONG!!! But it is getting to the point that i dont want to even go there anymore. I

Dr.Pop-Moody is an excellent physician. She shows alot of compassion and really takes her time with her patients. I nasty staff member does not warrant a bad review for an hard working doctor.

If you are thinking about choosing this Dr. It's probably not going to happen. The person in charge, Cynthia has no people skills. I don't know how she's kept her job. She is extremely rude. The other office staff are completely lost. I tried for a month to get information and finally just gave up. Don't waste your time like I did. Just find another doctor. Not worth the aggravation.

Attempted to get appointment for new patient

I called the doctor's office for appointment, left message and called returned call was returned that afternoon. My called was transferred to another department and again I had to leave message. Called again 3 more times before Cindy returned my call. As I was explaining to her my previous attempts, she was very cold and rude, not allowing me to talk. I asked for her name, she placed me on hold. When she came back on the line, she showed no empathy after I explained I was calling for a new patient and needed to know the process and information needed. I also told her she was being rude, she never apologized. I'm glad I found this out so make our decision. Will call someone else.

Dr. Pop Moody is an awesome doctor.

Due to her having such a large practice, it can be difficult dealing with her office staff.

They are extremly busy. The best way to get an appointment is through a referral from your primary care physician.

HORRIBLE

No matter what time you make an appointment be prepared to sit for at least 2 hours before you switch to another waiting room for another hour then thirty minutes in the room only to talk to someone who rushes you into explaining everything in 5 minutes. All the staff are rude and if you ever call be ready to wait on hold for like 20 minutes just to ask 1 question. Other Rheumatologists will not see you if you have ever gone to Pop-Moody so you are stuck once you start going unless you drive to San Antonio or Houston. The only medication that she wants to prescribe is prednisone which will make you swell up 20 lbs. Pop-Moody doesn't care. You will only get to see here every 4 appointments. Good luck making an appointment in August because they are booked until after the new year...like February or March...if you have anything that can't wait then she will send you to the ER which accomplished nothing. No one at the office cares.

If you have a complaint please contact office manager or office administrator. Please refrain from posting untrue comments. Everyone has a right to their own opinion based on truth and merit and being affiliated with this office as a long time RA patient I can promise you your comment was written as an angry biased person.

Well I've been coming here since 2011 .let me tell you all starting from Dr Popmoody ,Mary who passed away and I miss her dearly ,to Melinda who I mostly saw and is no longer there that makes me really sad she knew my history very well .The staff every single employee that works there all of them are awesome .I just completed a research study and the nurses that worked with me was Melissa and Maria and they rock the staff at the lab department are also very nice Jason the P A is also nice I have never ever had a problem coming here not one complaint even when I myself have to reschedule my appointment they always accommodate me ..Lastly the nurses all of them are very nice and professional .Dr Popmoody has good communication with all my drs that I see .I wouldn't change a thing about this place and I drive 45 minutes to get here and if I have to wait all day that's not a problem for me proud to sign my name Dolly .

That's some bs. All my visits I have seen her and I've been going for about 3 to 4 years.

I have lupus, which has caused my kidney failure, and she has taken care of me very step of the way.

And yeah she had given me prednisone and i didn't swell up. It does take a while but what office doesn't?

YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT 2 HOURS TO SEE A DOCTOR. THAT IS WHY THEY CALL IT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

SHE ALSO REFUSED TO PUT ME ON HUMIRA AND NOW I SEE A DOCTOR IN HOUSTON AND HE CAN'T BELIEVE ALL THE DAMAGE THAT HAS BEEN DONE AND WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED BY STARTING HUMIRA SOONER.

Dr. Pop-Moody is a good doctor but her PA Melinda is soooo horrible!!!

Its like she's on something, doesn't listen to you and focus's on other things rather then what's really bothering you! Also, The nurse Angela is very rude and gives attitude for everything!! I don't even like calling in for anything because she is so rude and doesn't call back sometimes! She's got problems and people like that do not need to be working in offices with chronically ill patients who are in chronic pain!!

Patients like us are going to be very emotional because of the pain and illness that we are sufferring and we need staff that is nice, sympathetic and care that we are sufferring! They need to help us without giving attitude especially because most of us suffer from depression also! Last time I was in that office a young girl was in there crying and crying and when we asked her if she was alright, she just said I hate this staff, nobody cares! Thats awful because she was very young and doesn't probably understand the illness that she has.

It's hard for all of us but someone could be so depressed and you never know what one is going through! Like I said, the Doctor is an awesome, sweet doctor if only her staff was too then it would be a great experience!

Popmoody is the best doctor u can ever have she is my second mom to tell you the truth when I was in acoma she was the one who diagnosed me with Lupus when no one else can figure out what had hit me outta of no where I love the stuff and let's just say there all the best and I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!

I am not overstating my case. I tried to switch to dr.

Petros and was turned away because he will not take any patients Pop-Moody has seen. I called today to find out for sure. I am not too lazy to drive. My insurance only allows Pop-Moody and Petros.

I am going to go to San Antonio or Houston next.

These people are unprofessional

First of all the staff is unprofessional. On a Dr visit with Pop Moody I was expressing my concerns when we are cut off due to a private call that she receives. She disregards me on everything and she leaves and ends my app. while conversing on her cell. I thought what kind of Beep is that. Well they switched my medications 3 times. My Remicade was given away to someone else since I was put on Enbrel. My Enbrel was sent to my home,but when I told my Dr I was having certain reactions to it she immediately told me she would put me on Humera but to bring my Enbrel that I had to them. I was like for what. Well I chose not too. I kept my meds and thank God I did cause my Humera was sent to the Dr office and someone by a false name signed for my meds and yet NO ONE FROM THE STAFF had no idea who signed for it and stated that they never got my 3 month supply of Humera. So the person that signed for my Humera and my medication disappeared into thin air. Then this Cynthia rep or whatever she calls me 5:40 pm to tell me I have an app. I told her I did not and it was short notice that is when she said I had to be seen every 2 months when I was told different by the Dr. she had a attitude over the phone she told me that the reason she called was because someone else had cancelled their app. so she told me she'd call me next week to set an app. I told her it would be short notice and if she wanted to set up now. I also told her if she is ever going to call me to have a better ATTITUDE !! She told me she did not have an attitude that I did. I told her I did not call her she called me. So she said she was going to tell Dr Pop Moody and she HUNG UP ON ME ! I want you all to know that if you call in the morning for anything they state they will return your call that day will that's a LIE !! I called several time leaving a message with Terry and Cynthia and they are DEAD ZOMBIES. You never get called back !!! I truly believe NOW that my meds are there HUMERA stated that they have on records showing that they did receive my 3 month supply, but they are screwing me and the companies that help assist those in need.
