Down To Earth Nursery

I worked with the owner of this nursery, Stuart, directly. I had originally planned on buying a lot of out door furniture from him but his pricing was so much higher then the competitor that we decided not to work with Stuart.

I did however feel badly at the time that we didn't give him the order so I decided to order our outdoor umbrella through him. I was very clear on what I wanted which was a SUNBRELLA COLOR TUSCAN 11 ft umbrella. He assured me this is what I would recieve. When they contacted me to tell me that my umbrella was in I picked up and signed for a sealed box.

I got it home and opened it to find it was not manufatcured by sunbrella at all but instead was a cheap knock off. I called immediately and was told by his sales woman Susan that it WAS SUNBRELLA so they would do nothing more for me. I did receive a second opinion letter confirming it was not SUNBRELLA from a well established patio place. I have filed many reports including a dispute with my credit card however they are now claiming they never said it was SUNBRELLA to begin with and becasue the receipt only has an item # on it the credit card was unable to get the money back from them.

The credit card company actually reimbursed me the cost of the umbrella themselves after trying to contact them and realizing this was clearly a fraud (just not enough paper evidence).

I do not want to see any consumer deal with this bait and switch from Stuart.
