When the click there was a recording stating no one to accept call. Please leave a message.

Couldn't leave a message, because mailbox was full. No response.

I sent the warranty card in July. I have not heard from anyone.

I want another card. I stayed on the phone for one hour and was sent to a mailbox that was full. I could not even leave a message.

The rust I holding the liner loosened the liner and made the trex bow out. We need the rusted plates redone, new liner replaced, and trex that hold the liner in place replaced.

Not good

Original review Jun 24, 2025

Through their website, I sent 3 emails outlining my issue regarding a coupon they were contacting me about. Each time I received a response thanking me for using their dealer finder.

There was no phone number on their website, only a message program that was not answered. I received a number from pissed off consumer. They answered and have me an answer on a few minutes. Fortunately I didn't have a real problem or is still be watching the water leaking from my pool!

Awful customer service at best. Thom Horn 717773****

Pool liners are junk

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a pool about 12 years ago. That dealer went out of business and never got all my accessories.

So used another dealer and ordered a new liner about 4 years ago and when it was installed the seams in bottom of liner the seams were not glued or melter together. The dealer got another liner approval and supposedly got the liner but she said box was damaged and ordered me another one. At this time I found out that she was being sued and couldnt run her down so never got a new liner. 4 years later opened pool and liner has ripped away from j hook.

So now I have to buy a new liner and get it installed. I have nothing to prove all this because 2 dealerships have went out of business and left people hanging.

No one at customer service at doughboy will answer the phone and have called dealerships a couple hours from me and no call backs or anything. So why pay doughboy Moore money for supposedly best pool when they wont answer phone and dealerships going out of business

Company that installed sucks they don't stand behind or admit wrong

$20,000 and 7 years later pool side falling in because they didn't cement the supports. Won't admit wrong and fix it.

The co-owner Melissa is a real bit-h to deal with. Will never recommend buying anything from Hot Springs Pools and Spas in Onalaska WI.they did it wrong and won't fix it I shouldn't

We have a Doughboy pool that is only on its third summer of use. I have a rust line all around the outside of the pool and in one spot it has ALREADY rusted through the size of a pencil.

The design of the liner clipping on allows chlorinated water get between the wall and the liner and starts rust.

Oh and try getting in touch with Doughboy. Ha!!

Terrible customer service/ pools are overrated

We regrettably bought a Doughboy. our lines tore twice and Doughboy sent us a new one twice but we had to pay for installation even though Doughboy admitted it was a defective Liner.

Doughboy customer service is horrible. Bree, the manager of customer service needs to take some classes on customer service and what is the right thing to do when you sell someone a terrible product.

Avoid!!! Buy any other pool.

Doughboy Pools - Not happy

The pools pamphlet says ALL resin coated steel is 100% lifetime warranted . After 3 years it started to show signs of rust spots ,a couple years later i called due to leaking rust spots ..

end result they pro rated the pool and it cost me thousands more to replace what was supposed to be 100% life time warranted. A friend has the same issue and its costing them thousands also for a 3 yo pool rotting

Product liner failure

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Received my pool May 2021. Less than TWO years as I opened my pool for the upcoming season I found my liner was completly unattached from the other material where it should of been joined together.

I purchased the larger pool, 18x34 and paid slot if money.$8,250.

Although the liner was covered I was informed they will not pay for installation of their failed liner. I was not informed of any other warranty option on the liner. The very top of the warranty says 25 year. The first thing you see.

After speaking with 3 professional experts with 70 years of combined experience they have never seen a liner fsilureof thus kind and seemed unprecedented based on Doughboys quality of product.

With that said brings me to why I purchased a Doughboy pool to begin with.

After doing alot of research on above ground pools I wanted to go with a American made company which outperforms the competition with unparalleled LONGEVUTY. Efficiency. And safety, and a leader in the industry backed by a 25 year warranty. THIS IS DOUGHBOYSS CLAIM ON THEYRE WEBSITE.

Along with saying all phases of production process to meet your stringent standards of quality for your investment dollars. Proud to be American. This is why I purchased a Doughboy pool.

I could of went anywhere to purchase a pool, on line, overseas but did not want to go with a product that would fail me from the INFANCY AGE OF MY PURCHASE. I chose to purchase a American made product and support a local business only to find that I was failed anyway by the MFG.

Why should I incur a expense of reinstsllation in thus case for a product failure.

I already paid for it once LESS THAN 2 YEARS AGO. Thus was not my fault. The reinstallation cost is $1,600 not to mention cost to refill the pool. Would not even pay for freight to ship new liner.

Retailer was kind enough to help split the freight charge.

I would like to know if you will be taking care of installation fee for this UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCE or at very least split the cost.

My response was it does not cover installation in warranty. The warranty however does not state product failure only product defect.

I understand the warranty as it applies but this circumstance is different.

Buyer beware of they're advertisement

Paid 16,000.00 for pool and installation and 1.5 years of use and rust holes all the way threw steel pool wall.

Will not honor warranty.

Supervisor wouldn't even deal with the issue she hung up on my husband.

Poor quality

Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

Poor quality engineering of parts. Pieces do not properly fit together, instructions had very poor graphics and lacked organization.

Pool was supposed to be all grey and brown but comes with undisclosed 4 foot by 52 white panel for the skimmer wall making it very tacky.

Custom tee service is closed in the weekend. Packed very poorly I had multiple pieces crushed, bent, and scratched.

End caps to cover seems at corners (decorative)

We have enjoyed a 20 X 16 Doughboy pool. The decorative covers at the pools' turns are falling off broken.

This is happening to the majority of our turns. The pool quality is quite good but the ugly turns without these decorative pieces.

Can you assist?

Doughboy Pools - Poor customer support and product quality
Doughboy Pools - Poor customer support and product quality - Image 2

I messaged Doughboy with a product issue I was having. I did not receive a response until about a month later, this is after multiple follow-ups.

I provided images of their faulty product and proof of purchase. They simply responded that this wasn't covered under warranty and that it basically was my fault the product failed. They simply don't want to own up to the poorly engineered products they produce and essentially want me to leave them alone. The easiest thing they could do is blame the customer without actual proof.

How do they know this was the customer's fault?

They asked zero questions and just assumed.

Never purchasing a Doughboy product again. Terrible customer service and quality.
