Terrible company
- - Plaster left a bump, mismatched stucco, and visible window outline.
- - He denied prep work despite estimates and texts, and yelled when questioned.
After getting a recommendation from our roofing company, we called Red Darling of Double d Plastering. We hired them to do some plaster work and to paint the exterior of the house.
Red not only gave a written estimate of the painting including power washing and prep, but sent texts confirming the same. His two guys blocked up and plastered a window opening. The job was terrible leaving a large bump on the wall the stucco did not
match and you could see the outline
where the window had been. We really thought when we told him about this issue he would repair it.
I was out of town, and was texting him about the painting before I got home to see the bad plastering job.
I was expecting his guys to show up to do all the prep, but they came to the house asking for the paint (which we were to purchase). When I texted Red, I was completely shocked at his response. He seemed to take great offense at being questioned by his customer. He said he never agreed to do any prep work (Not True) we have paperwork and text saying so.
He told me if I had doubts about him then hire someone else. After being yelled at for daring to question Mr Darling and expect a remedy for the terrible inside job they did, the one thing I did agree with was I should hire the right company ( which I did). He had already been paid for the plaster job, thankfully not the painting. He seemed sooo nice in the beginning, but don’t be fooled.
We informed the roofing company and they apologized and said they would no longer refer anyone to him. Guess he won’t mind since he said he didn’t need our business because he was in “ good shape “.If you do hire him, don’t say you weren’t warned and good luck.

Unfortunately i payed him before he finished the job and this was a big mistake. He did good work up to the painting of my stucco.

The name of the company is Double D plastering & home repairs. I got a new roof on my patio and it was a very bad job from the beginning the owner of the company would not retun calls.
beware of using this company for anything Bad Business. The Owner name is Ed Darling. BEWARE I would not reccomend him to do any work for any one he does not have the proper tools for any job.
if quality work is what you want Do Not Use Double D plastering. i had to replace my roof within a years time please Beware
