Avoid at all Costs
Do not believe these reviews. They are not true. They will quote you a low price and then come out and pick up your furniture only to charge you a much higher price. Our first quote was for $1200 to $1600 for our move. That was to pick up our stuff and store it for two days on their trucks and re-deliver it. Estimate was for 6 guys and two trucks for 10 hours. We packed everything ourselves and required no additional packing or materials except for blankets for the TV and furniture which we told them about. They called the morning of our move and told us they needed to cancel!? We were so shocked and distraught because we were selling our house and needed to get out. Luckily we booked a day earlier than we needed so we begged them to come out and move half our stuff out. They told us we would need to store our stuff ourselves so we rented a storage facility (at our expense). When they finally showed up they came with 3 guys instead of 6 and one truck instead of two. They promised they would come the next day at 7:00 with 6 guys and two trucks and get us out before noon. That was our deadline to be out. The next day at 8:30 they showed up with 4 guys and one truck. I was really freaked out. They said there was no way they could have us out by noon and said they didn't have enough trucks to bring two and 2 guys didn't show up. I went and rented a 30' truck (our expense) to get us out in time. Keep in mind now we are also getting calls from our lawyer and the title company is refusing to release the funds we needed to close until we were out. It got so bad we moved most of our own stuff out in order to meet the deadline while the new owners watched us waiting for us to be out so they could call their lawyer and tell him to release the funds. Now for the charge details. Original estimate $1200-$1500 First day charge $1200 Second Day Charge $1800 Final Day Charge $2200 Truck Rental $180 Storage Unit $300 Total charges $5680 They get you over a barrel because they have your stuff so they can charge you whatever they want once they start picking up your stuff. The head mover was friendly and told me this is how they operate. He told me the owner is never around and that they don't pay their workers so people don't show up. He said everyone is very disgruntled and hate working there. He said the owner is always in Israel and the guy running the company is completely incompetent. He expects the company to go out of business within the year. Based on our experience we would agree. Weeks later we are still finding broken items and items are missing. One of the movers was cutting plastic off my chair with a box cutter and sliced right through the fabric on a family heirloom. They said we'd be reimbursed. I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure your wondering why we just didn't call another company. We tried but movers are booked weeks in advance and we were moving at the end of the month which is their busiest time. HORRIBLE MOVERS
I'm going to preface this bad review with the fact that the FIRST move I ever used movers for was just under 2 years ago and I hired Done Right and was EXTREMELY satisfied with their services. So when I moved this past weekend, I again used them... I was LESS THAN satisfied with the service I received. The foreman was lazy and spent more time on the truck and texting on his phone than actually doing work. The two other men on the crew I cannot say a bad word about, other than perhaps they were given poor direction by the foreman and apparently did not know the difference between a dining room, living room, and bedroom. I called the office to let them know what was going on and instead of the foreman trying to get his act together and make it right, instead tried to become ingnorant and defensive with me while my fiance was not present to witness it. (Side note: I am nearly 8 months pregnant). What took 3 men (of half this crew's height and weight) to move (aside from perhaps 3 additional major appliances and an extra table set - which were in the same area as the truck and broken down ready to go!!!) 2 years earlier 3 total hours and 1 hr of travel (approx 45 miles) AND they had to still help me wrap and pack most everything in my apt up, it took this crew 3 and 1/2 hours to move approx 0.8-1 miles away AND THEN, did not even complete the job. I understand I refused to pay them for over 3 and 1/2 hrs of work and that's why they left nearly 75% of my belongings on the tree bank in front of my house and threw everything else into the house or left it strewn about in the garage, but give me a break! When you quote someone for a 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor to the 1st floor 1 mile away 2-3 hours, and then the foreman gets there, looks around but does not even bother to take a walk thru to verify contents and estimate the job properly and says 3 hrs, then proceeds to take 2 and 1/2 hrs just at the first location, gets to the 2nd location and says it will only take 1 more hour to get it all IN, that hour passes and then doesn't even come close to meeting that goal and dumps my stuff where people are circling around the block to see if its garbage for them to pick through, THAT IS RIDICULOUS! I was offered no kind of refund or even common courtesy from the foreman, nor the office staff who "handled" my complaint. I hope the owner reads this and FIRES that foreman. Its workers like that, that give companies a bad reputation. I could go on and on about how horrible the service was and how they left boxes at my old apt and lost screws that were taped onto things purposely NOT to be lost, but I can;t even waste any more time. Even with my frist experience being so amazing, I will NEVER use this company again, and I plan on filing in small claims court VERY SOON.

Verified Reviewer |Rip Off -Done Right moving & Storage Darlene & Kenny Shippy
We contacted u-ship on line for a shippy quote. We got a quote from Done Right,(Kenny Shippy ) to move our household From Ohio To Florida. Shippy's went into our neighbor hood asking neighbors where we lived. that was against the rules on U-Ship. Once he found us, we took him on a walk thru of the home so he could see what had to go. He gave us a quote again, and said he could fit everything. Him and his wife were supose to load & unload everything. His wife didn't help more than 5 min. My brother/sister/nephew, myself and my husband ended up loading half of the truck to help Kenny. Then he couldn't fit it all. Even after we gave away 1/3 of what he was supose to ship. He told us he would make another trip at no additional cost because he misjudged the load. His wife got mad about that. (keep in mind that they gave us a quote for the hole shippment). Now we have had to pay a storage room in Ohio for the rest of our things. When Kenny finally arrived in Florida he was 3 days late. My sister and I had to help him unload the truck because his wife was mad and didn't come to help,(according to Kenny.) I was in so much pain from lifting and unloading the items. he then stayed in our spare rm for 3 days until he had another shippment. He did put together two dinning sets while he was here. the least he could have done for free food, bed, shower. Now it is 45 days later and we still don't have our items that were left behind. I called andi asked when we would have our things Darlene & Kenny both got Irate with me yelling, saying they feel we should pay more to have them bring our things. I told them I was reporting them to The IRS, U-ship-BBB, and anywhere else I could. I am also contacting a lawyer. These people only did 1/2 of a job they were paid full price to do. void them like the plaque. They come off as being nice, but they are *** artists.

I completely agree with the previous comment. I had purchased furniture from an estate sale with the intention of giving it to my son and daughter-in-law who were moving back to Chicago and had no furniture.
It was furniture only--no dishes, books, pictures, knicknacks etc. It was 3 bedrooms with dressers, side tables-no mattresses. It was a complete living room and family room, kitchen table and rec room furniture--no dining room furniture. I stress this because I was charged for 6 men to work 6 hours to shrink wrap and move this furniture into a fisrt floor storage unit 10 minutes away.
I was charged an astonishing $1950.00 for this move. They showed up with a Uhaul truck saying the moving truck "wouldn't start", and they would have to make several trips. When I called the office, they said the big truck was being used, but that it would arrive with 3 more movers,so that the move would go quicker. Am I to presume that it would have taken the original 3 men 12 hours to move this furniture?
I didn't even get into the surly foreman, the damage to the walls, which they said they had up to 120 days to remedy. Don't waste your time with "customer service"-it is non-existant.
And don't waste your money on this extremely unprofessional company. I wish I had read reviews first.
