Terrible Diagnosis of A/C Cost me over $2,000!!!

Done Right was hired to diagnose & repair a long standing issue with water leaking from one of my A/C Unit inside. After thorough inspection by the owner, he determined (wrongfully) that the A/C coil needed to be replaced. Not only did he unnecessarily charge $816 to replace the coil (after continued leakage I discovered later than the true source of the problem was an improperly installed drain line attached to the unit). Ironically the correct diagnosis was done by one of his other employees 2 years after the fact. Not only did they improperly diagnosis the original problem & charged $816 to repair something that was not the source of the problem, they didn't discover their own error for 2 years. Done Right refused to accept responsibility for the incorrect original diagnosis & refused to both refund the original cost of the repair as well as properly repair the unit. In fact, in their defensiveness, error & arrogance, they not only refused to accept responsibility & rectify their original improper diagnosis, they actually breached their contractual obligation to perform regular ongoing maintenance for which they had been hired & paid

Interesting. they came out today and diagnosed a similar situation and said to replace the coil it would be $4300!!

I will have my regular Black Mountain Air come tomorrow and give me the real scoop.

They charged me $275 to stop the leak into the unit from the pVC pipe and said I should have a second pan installed which would cost $500. Sounded fishy to me.
