They scammed me out of a car on eBay. Be careful dealing with them. I believe it was Peter I dealt with. He could not have been any more rude and he did not handle the situation in a correct manner. Terrible experience. Be careful

Don Beyer Winchester VA----The absolute worst service depart in any of the states I been in !!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Service dept is terrible, they told me to junk my S 80 T 6 because there was internal damage to the engine. I suggested it was a belt, a private local mechanic then replaced the timing belt it has run fine and that was almost 20k miles ago--- pretty good for a car that " should be junked " right !!!!! This dept is absolutely the worst I have taken a car to in the last 20 years, they seem incompetent, dis-- interested, never return you serviced car when promised. How in the world they can stay in business is beyond comprehension. STAY AWAY FROM DON BEYER VOLVO IN WINCHESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be sorry.

Don Beyer Volvo - Horrible Experience

Horrible experience! Bought a new XC-90 about 6 years ago and brought it back to DB for it's regular maintenance since. The buying experience and most service appointments were very good UNTIL the past few times that have gotten progressively worse. The most horrible experience I've ever had with a customer serivce rep. ANYWHERE came today at DB Volvo. A month ago we had 50K service performed, which came to almost $1K and one of the items I asked them to fix was a burned out Daytime Running Light. Got the car back home (an hour away) and found that the DRL was not replaced. Rather than taking another 2 hours drive and cycle the car up there again, I went to Pep Boys and replaced it myself. But I did call the service rep. to tell him that they missed the DRL. He barely apologized and that was that. Soon after I received a survey from Volvo Corp. asking me about the latest service, and I did not rate it high due to missing the DRL. I didn't hide my name, and it was an honest assessment. Took the car in this morning to a scheduled appointment and after taking my information and key, the same service rep. berated me for giving "him" a low rating and, I quote him directly, "just want to let you know that it affects me personally when you give a low rating". it was all in a threatening tone with several "do you understand!? thrown at me for emphasis. Well EXCUSE ME, IT AFFECTS ME PERSONALLY WHEN I HAVE TO FIX SOMETHING YOU NEGLECTED TO DO!!! I didn't actually say that back to him as I was too shocked to believe a service rep. would treat a returning customer like that. After thinking a minute, I demanded my keys back, walked out the door, and will not be returning for service or car purchases at DB Volvo in the future.

Don beyer volvo falls church and carfax do it again

Basically,me and my wife purchased a certified 2005 Volvo XC90 vehicle at Don Beyer Volvo in Jan 2009 and in May 2009 another dealer told me the carfax says the car was in an accident in 2004, we also received a certified CARFAX report prior to purchasing the vehicle and no signs of the accident on the report. CarFax receives the information in June and reports it. Costs me $5k difference in tradingin vehicle. I call VA DMV and they are unable to access the accident number that is on the report which Carfax says is reported to their third party source. THe dealer says they know nothing about it. I was also told by GM, John Hall they would look into it and 4 months later they are STILL LOOKING into it. The problem I have is that had I known that I would either negogiated a lower price or not purchased the vehicle at all. The vehicle suffered $3k worth of damaged so how is that none of the damaged was noted since the vehicle got rear ended. Neither DOn Beyer nor CarFax has stepped up to the plate and take some ownership. Don Beyer has serviced the vehicle since it was purchased from them so they would be most intimate with teh service history of the vehicle and soon as I asked for that...never heard from them!!

Dealerships do not do body work caused by accidents. People normally go to body shops for that.

So the dealer may never have known about the accident. I was just rear ended on Rt. 95 in Maryland. It is easy to have $3,000 in work even when not much has been damaged.

In fact, $3,000 in damage is a pretty minor accident these days.

And if it was a rear end collision, your engine and other main components would be protected. You should be lucky it had not been in a front end collision.
