Booked with Divine Tours International of Jamaica and it was a disaster! Never use them!

We booked with Divine Tours on June 4, 2014, paid in full for 10 days for our dates of Sept 21-Oct 1, 2014. We arrived at our Resort and found out she had paid $175.00 of the $2680.00 that we had paid her! It was a Sunday, so I had to give my credit card for the first night's balance because her office was closed. We called her on Monday morning ad she was so apologetic that I thought she would pay in full like she promised us. Well we go back down on Tues to the front desk and she had only paid for one more night! We call her again, and she has the same story, I'll be there by 2 pm and pay in full. Well that never happened. Now we are on to Weds and we are so upset! We threatened to go to her office with the police....but to no avail. She only paid $951.00 out of the $2680.00. And that was it. I called my credit card company and they credited me and they are going after her and dispute the charges on our behalf. I am going to go on every social media possible to warn people not to book with that company.

Divine Tours International Avoids Paying for Resort

We booked our August 1-8,2014 all-inclusive Jamaican vacation through Divine Tours travel agency. Divine tours booked our stay at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites resort, our flight and our airport transportation in March 2014. Since we fully paid the travel agency over 4 months in advance and selected both a Jamaican travel agency and resort, we had high expectations this trip would go smoothly. Unfortunately we had several negative service issues with the Divine Tours travel agency. • The first issue occurred when we over-checked our reservation with the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites resort a week before the trip and discovered Divine Tours had not paid Iberostar Rose Hall Suites for our reservation. After repeated emails and phone calls Divine Tours finally made the payment to the resort the day before our trip. • The next issue occurred when we checked into the resort and discovered Divine Tours did not pay for the last day of our vacation. Again it took repeated vacation phone calls and emails before Divine Tours paid for the last day of the vacation on the morning of our checkout. • The last issue was with our return airport transportation which was one and a half hour late for our resort departure despite repeated phone calls to Divine Tours. The worst part of the Divine Tours service was that they never got in touch with us to apologize nor offer any compensation for our wasted vacation time and added stress. We expect that if we were not so aggressive in following up on the Divine Tours issues, they would have just kept the money without providing the service. While we had excellent service at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites resort, we are disappointed that they partnered with such a poor Travel Agency.
