..hallways and STAIRS ARE FILTHY...cobwebs, dust bunnies and moldy looking dirt in corners and baseboards..!! Plaster is falling off the walls ..and NEVER gets swept up . On the rare occasion that the floors are is with dirty water AND a gallon of PINE SOL...slopping the dirt around. I have NEVER used the laundry facilities or the back stairs because the musty stench and general filth.The black mold problem needs to be addressed...!! And btw, the PARKSAFE *** TERRORIZING is out of hand .! Just Google the owners..and see their criminal records..! All my guests park at Food Basics and walk here. For a tenant of 10 years that is NEVER late with $1500/month rent payment..all of this is unacceptable..!! ( and you know it..!! )

They break all the rules and manage like slum lords. If you can avoid renting a property managed by these bullies I would, or you will have to deal with their attempts to raise your rent above the yearly maximum (by making false property upgrade claims), whilst always looking for ways to decrease services without notice or compensation (ie. cut power to the garages and cut off water supply to the exterior). These penny pinchers do not know where to spend money. They constantly opt for inexpensive short term solutions that result in larger long term problems and you have to be on their case constantly if you want them to respond to work orders. I had a bucket under my sink collecting water for six months but no one came to fix it. It takes the ceiling to cave in the unit below for them to respond to work request forms. Who knows what mould lingers in the walls for every future tenant. The worst is actually just the way they treat you. My property manager literally told me he did not care before hanging up on me. They look so web professional but their people skills are quite poor. As a commercial landlord myself, I would not hire them to manage properties simply because the tenants their management style would attract would be very short term. They encourage and almost create transience and this really reduces their financial potential but also diminishes property value.

Ottawa 335 Maclaren - DISTRICT REALTY are slum lords. Building is falling apart ...

rent goes up , bad service no assistance if needed dogs *** everywhere.

Avoid renting at any cost!!!


This review is 100% accurate... took the words right out of my mouth.

This company is so terrible, I advise everyone I know to rent elsewhere.

If you see a 'District Realty' sign while on your apartment search, turn away. Bugs, Drugs and management like Slugs, not worth your time.


They have an extremely aggressive, and hostile, way of dealing with tenants. Very few tenants seem to be interested in renewing their lease.

It's an OK building. Every year DR pushes the maximum rent increase.

Arguably the worst customer service. They treat renters like squatters with rights.
