Car Rental Scam
While tring to rent a car in Maui i saw an ad for "discount car rental" I put in the dates we were going to be in Hawaii found the car we wanted. No matter what i did i could not get the price advertised on there web site. So next I call the car rental company which happen to be "Thrifty Car Rental" and was told that those cars were sold out for the date we wanted so I changed dates and guess what, sold out again. They WERE available if i wanted to spend $1000 a week rather than there advertised price of $277 a week. This is some sort of scam the rental companys use to upgrade you or to rent something you have your heart set for and just *** the bullet and rent it. I REFUSE to be blackmailed by Car rental companys. If you advertise a price then agree to what you said. Not have one ONE at that price.

Discount Hawaii Car Rental
It sounds like the issue is with Thrifty nor Discount Hawaii Car Rentals.
I have used Discount Hawaii Car Rental many times also for Florida (Discount Florida Car Rental) I always get great service.
It was suggested to me from an agent on the phone Thrifty is a poor choice for service, so I choose Enterprise.
But I always book through Discount Hawaii Car Rental because I know they have my back, if there is a problem.
I used Discount Hawaii Car Rental every year for many years. They always try to get me the best deal.
This year, there are a lot of sold out cars already for January/February - so I am glad I booked early and got what I wanted. This company has always been nothing but honest and up front with me.
I would recommend them to anyone. don't see where it is their fault the car companies are all sold out of cars??????
