Came in for a job interview and ended up rolling dumplings instead.
- - Expected a dishwashing interview; another candidate interviewed.
- - No dishwasher openings; recruiter took me to the factory to make dumplings.
I showed up expecting an interview for the dishwashing position, and they took some random guy in that was just sitting there for no reason and started interviewing him instead in the office. Then they said to me, 'This is your recruiter,' and told me to follow him into this factory.
He told me that they didn't have anything for dishwashers available at the time, and then he asked me, 'Do you know what a dumpling is?' I said, 'Yes, it's like a pot sticker.' Then he made me put on this gown and hat and made me go into the factory and make dumplings! He then asked me how I was feeling, and I said I kind of showed up expecting to do a job interview for a position that I applied for. I didn't say this to him directly, but for one thing, you wasted my time and gaslit me. You are very unprofessional, and I am never returning after being treated like this.
It's like you didn't even look at my resume or know what I was there for. It was an awful experience. And you have no reason to reject me at this point because you didn't even do an interview with me and made me make dumplings instead.
I don't care if you throw away my resume. I am not coming back.
