The worst cooking I've eaten in 50 yrs.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hushpuppies weren't done inside, chicken not done to the bone nor tender, sloppy slaw, had to ask for butter, horrible corn muffins, no taste to over battered catfish. Biggest disappointment was the so called strawberry cobbler and canned strawberries with a custard like fake ice cream.

I've been a Southern cook for 60 yrs.

& was extremely disappointed. First time here and last...our bill was$66 for two of us.

Wish I had read reviews before going.

I agree with the PO review! We have eaten there before but were totally disappointed when we were there last Friday!!

We had fish one piece was ok but the other one was fried flour dip. The chicken was dry. The corn on the cob was good but had to ask for butter for it and the rolls. The macaroni and cheese was good, the lima beans were straight out of a can tasteless, the cabbage casserole was tolerable, the broccoli casserole was good.

The dessert was just ok. We were very disappointed. Even if the meal had been delicious the cost was ridiculous.

So we won't be back and will not recommend it to anyone!! The quality has gone way down!!!!!!

Drove 80 miles just to get very bad food

My wife and I drove about 80 miles to eat at the Dillard House. We paid about 65 bucks for two meals that were not good or I should say were lousy.

Grease chicken, cold food about the only thing I can say was okay was the ice tea and dessert. We did get good service and gave him a thirteen dollar tip.

I have gotten better food at Waffle House for a lot less money. My Wife and I along with the couple that was with us will never go back to the Dillard House.

Did you at any time address the food issues with a manager? I am glad you tipped the waiter as he did not prepare your food and had no say in how it tasted.

I love the Dillard House! SO do all my friends.

I have been to the Dillard House about 10 times in the last four years. Every single time I have been I was more than pleased.

I recommend it to people who later tell me how much they enjoyed it. I have also stayed there at the hotel. Everything there is wonderful. To the lady that complained about undercooked food, YES THAT WAS A SMOKE RING. They smoke most of their meat.

The ham that was like leather was country ham.... It is supposed to be tough....

I bet you are from the north....To the guy that got bad service You should have spoken to management....
