Unresponsive Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The worst customer service, the oddest payment schemes - you cannot just use a credit card - and they take your money but do not credit your account. When I started the service a while ago, they actually responded to 1-2 inquiries but this time trying to get some help, I have called their telephone numbers and sent 6 email requests for support - NONE/NONE of them answered.

The system does work as advertised. So if you can set it up, get what you want, and have it function correctly, it's good but more like 1960s customer service in a large government bureaucracy where you engage in some endless run around to do one thing.

I'm guessing that because it's in Thailand and the level of English usage there is low, there is a reluctance or inability to provide basic support.

So if you can deal with no support but a product that works at a good price, then you have a solution.

Avoid Diamondcard.us

Our main complaints with Diamondcard.us:

1. After processing your payment, you cannot use it because they put a lock your account until they perform some kind of background check on you and your payment. They do not reveal what they are checking. We spent days emailing and calling them before they finally authorized our account. I imagine that many people just give up during this process, which is free revenue for Diamondcard.us.

2. They take 2+ days to respond to customer service issues.

3. They charge you $50 to start service, then deposit $47.50 in your account. Their justification for this is that is the amount the receive from Paypal, but charging more for Paypal customers is a violationg of Paypal terms. I can see from other complaints here they have been doing this since 2011, at least.

4. When we pointed this fact out to them they terminated our account.

5. As a company they try to be totally anonymous. There is no name in their customer service emails, they do not provide any information about themselves on their website. They have no business address. This is another sign that they are a shady business.

We will be reporting them to Paypal for their actions.

We recommend you avoid Diamondcard.us.

Below is a copy of the email message history we had with them.

------------

You are lying that we can pay by a different method. We cannot login to Diamondcard, you terminated our account. Just documenting your unacceptable behavior as a Paypal merchant. Now we will take this to Paypal.

Used Diamondcard for years, no problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've used Diamondcard off and on since 2008 (date of this post is 7/10/2017) when I moved overseas and needed to buy a U.S. local number which I then forwarded to my foreign cellphone.

They respond to emails in a polite and timely fashion, and accept many forms of payment, even BTC. I would recommend them to anyone who is tired of Skype/Google Voice/big corporations. I like the fact that they support "soft" phones like Ekiga, which means I can make calls to real phones from my Linux laptop.

I'm keeping a beat-up old laptop out of the landfill, and saving money as well because they have competitive international rates when I call overseas. I also use an Android app called CSipSimple: I just type in the Diamondcard server info and my account/password, and the app lets me call my grandmother in the Caribbean from my cellphone, deducting the call cost from my Diamondcard account instead of my outrageously expensive T-Mobile account.

Bad Customer Service - Service Outtages - Interrupted Service - No Communication

For anyone considering voip phone service I highly recommend that you stay away from the company Diamondcard.us, diamondcard or dealtime.net, inc. These people have the absolute worst customer service on earth.

They charge a surcharge for certain payment methods (paypal). Their terms of service are so ridiculous that I doubt most consumers could even comply. They make you deposit money on your account which they refuse to refund when their service is bad and will steal your credit for even the slightest breach of their ridiculous, lengthy and cumbersome terms. They interrupt service with no warning or site announcements.

if you use your phone you will likely have your service blocked for a myriad of ridiculous rules that no consumer can live with. The noise and echo are over the top. There is absolutely no weekend support which is when the server issues are generally at their peak.

Although they try to make themselves look like a big time international company a better guess might be that this is a couple of jokers operating out of a barn. Make sure you read everything on their site and weiki before making the mistake of doing business with these control freaks.

I have used Diamondcard VOIP for several years. Problems have been rare, and service always has been courteous and prompt.

I have not used their Hosted PBX or any other more sophisticated services, so I cannot comment about those.

This posting looks like some scammer that's pissed off because he couldn't get an account at Diamondcard. I have used them for years and they are working fine for me.

I don't have any problems at all. When I did sent an email to support they responded super fast and without issue.
